  • A couple piercing questions?

So I just went and got my nose pierced and while it's something I've wanted since I was 16 I have a couple questions.... How long did it take yours to heal? (yes, I have a ball park idea- I just want personal experience) How many of you have had complications arise?

I also got a vertical hood piercing tonight and I'm wondering the same thing about that. I did research everything for both before I went and got them, but I would like to hear what people have experienced on their own.

Yes, I realize the aesthetic appeal with piercings can vary from person to person so I really don't need the "you are ugly because you have a piercing" thing.... You have your opinion and I clearly have mine.

    To everyone else thanks!

  • What kind of lizard is this?

My mother in law found this inside her house in Michigan. I don't know what it is other than that it is not the gecko that she thinks it is.

Sorry, myspace is all I have set up right now

  • Jesus and God, ammendment in the NT?

I'm kind of curious, I keep finding places where people say that Jesus was born 4-8 thousand years AFTER God created the earth. That because he appeared in the New Testament there is some magical amendment stating that now Jesus is included in the whole "God" picture.

The problem with that process is that there are places throughout the old testament (Genesis chapter 1 is one place) that God refers to "us" meaning more than just the singular being. I've always figured that they were supposed to be all together one anyway.

Why do people now say that they weren't that, they somehow added this to the NT?

  • About animal rescues?

Alright, people talk on and on about going to rescues. If everyone who was told to and who did the telling actually rescued a dog there would be much lower numbers in shelters and so on.

How many people have adopted and how many have gone through a breeder?

*For us we adopted our kitties and found good breeders for the dogs*

  • Dogparks? Good or Bad?

I understand the reasons why dogparks are a good idea and why they are not. Personally I take our dogs so they can run and for some interaction with other dogs. We tend to go when the park is the least busy just to avoid idiot owners who can't control their dogs.

What do you think? Do you take yours? Why or why not?

  • Guess the doggy,?

What would you guess this dog is? I've had people guess a chihuahua, german shepherd, corgi, poodle, husky, akita, fox, shitsu (sp, sorry)

    No lie

I don't have a pic of mine readily online (other than myspace) and she looks like the red ones, VERY exactly typical of her breed

  • Belgian Malinois vs Belgian Tevuren?

My hubby and I are considering a new family pet and we're thinking of a Belgian Malinois or Tevuren. I've looked at both and we probably won't be getting one in the immediate future, but does any one know of any real difference in personality? I've read in some places that they are they same except for the coat but in other places I've read that the Tevurens make better family pets, that they are slightly smaller and more affectionate.

Has any one had experience with either?

(we plan on doing some agility beyond the camping and hiking that we do with our dogs currently)

    Thanks

  • Showing dogs?

    Hi,

I have a 5 month old Shiba Inu pup and I was wondering how I would go about getting her into dog shows. I'm not thinking to really go real far but I think it would be a good thing to do with her. I work with her consistently and she seems to have a temperament that would do well I just don't know how to start.

I'm in the Dayton, OH area.

    Thank you so much

  • Dog Groomer?

    Hi,

I'm looking for a good groomer in the Dayton, OH area. We have a small (38 lb) husky and occasionally like to take her in to have her groomed. Well we took her in to petsmart and when we picked her up her she had blood all over her tail (like more than a drop or two)

Luna wasn't hurt, the blood was from another dog but I don't want to take her back there again.

    Thanks

  • Which is more effective for weight loss, Yoga or Pilates?

I am looking for a good idea for a cardio workout. I've tried bellydancing and salsa dancing and I enjoy both. Just for a change though I wanted to try pilates or yoga. I'll probably start with a work out video before I decide on doing classes.

Which is more effective and if you know of any specific videos to try (just to start with, and chances are I can handle an intermediate or advanced one -I'm pretty flexible and toned)

    Thanks so much!

  • Skinny Husky?

Please only answer if you have experience with huskies.

We have a 2 year old female Husky named Luna. She's sweet and active and she eats and poos normally but she cannot seem to put on weight. We have had her checked for worms, I'm wondering about a thyroid issue. Any suggestions?
