I have beets in my fridge right now and was thinking of peeling and chopping them and then simmering them until they turn into mush. Has anyone made beet baby food this way? Will it work? Do beets get soft and turn to "sauce" when simmered?

I'm very interested in purchasing a My Baby Nest carrier for my coming newborn so my hands can be free and baby can be happy while I take care of my toddler and do chores, etc. The weight chart recommends a M/L for my height and weight, but I've heard that these carriers are very stretchy and that you can sometimes go with a smaller size for a snugger hold. If you have experience with the My Baby Wrap and can give me advice on whether or not you really liked it, used it frequently, found it comfortable, needed a different size than what the chart indicated, ect, I would really appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

I've seen commercials for an animated series featuring a character with a mouth that looks like a donut. The character is short and skinny I think, and maybe a scientist, or in a lab coat.
