• Name the British book series of the 30's - 50's featuring a young boy (10?) and his many adventures.?

This was a series of at least 10 or more books that took place in real time as the series progressed with current events, such as WWII, as part of the stories. The boy who is the main character, however, did not age. It was NOT the Hardy Boys. This was not a mystery series; it was more like the Nicholas series by René Goscinny.

  • Why or how do torrents "lose" pieces?

I seed many torrent files and often one or more of them will "lose" pieces - usually off the front and back when looking at the Pieces column of the "Files" tab on Utorrent. These are my files; they were 100% at one time - then I end up having to download pieces from the cloud to make them complete again! What's up with that?!

  • Who else (besides Burl Ives) sang "Holly Jolly Christmas" ?

I have been trying to find out who performed this song that was on a 3-LP boxed set we owned in the late 60's. Although I can't remember the singer's name, I remember distinctly the arrangement. It was a female singer with a small band backing. The most unusual part was the backup singers; they sounded like elves saying "naah naah na n-na n-na" all throughout the song. This version was probably recorded in the early to mid 60's. If anyone has a COMPLETE list of ALL recordings of this song released in the 60's, I might be able to figure it out by elimination.
