My daughter is a British citizen and is flying to the US next month. Then in August I am flying out and driving her to Canada to study for a year.
Because she doesn't have a preboked ticket out of the US, the US border protection agency has asked me to get an affidavit or notarised letter confirming that I will be driving her out of US before her visa waiver expires on 30 August.
How do I get a notarised letter like this in UK? Can a bank supply this? Is it expensive? Thanks!2 AnswersImmigration6 years ago

My yahoo account stopped accepting my password so I reset it. Now my iPhone 4 doesn't recognise my yahoo answers Pandaboy profile. When I go on to yahoo answers and try to access my profile, it just gives me the page asking if I want to set up an account.
This is the same if I click on a link in an email from yahoo answers that has previously worked; if I click on a link from a previously opened Safari page that previously worked; or if I try and access via a completely fresh Safari page. Obviously I've reset the Yahoo password on my iPhone correctly as I can access my emails. When I am in yahoo answers, the Hi! message comes up top left with my real name, so I am signed in correctly. Also I've closed all the open Safari windows and rebooted the iPhone. Clearly I can still access the profile from a PC or I wouldn't be writing this... How can I access my Pandaboy profile from my iPhone? Thanks!1 AnswerYahoo Answers7 years ago
A relative of mine has had a letter from Advantis in Stoke on Trent saying that they're acting on behalf of DVLA and trying to trace her from her previous address about a 'business matter'. The letter has come to the address at which she is currently registered with DVLA, when she recently renewed her driving licence. Do you think this is genuine? Worried because when she renewed her licence she was caught out by one of the scam companies who charge for renewals.

I stopped in a loading bay in Croydon to pick up some stuff from a shop. The shop was unexpectedly closed, so I left. Now I've got a parking ticket for using a loading bay without loading. Can I challenge this, and on what grounds? I fully intended to load, it was only because the shop was shut that I had to leave without loading. We are a family with two teenage kids, we'd like to visit Istanbul in early August and wondered if it was going to be problematic because it's ramadan. We went to Morocco a few years ago and it was quite difficult to be respectful of the ramadan period with children because they need to eat, and also even after sundown the restaurants really only served local people. But maybe Istanbul is a bit more cosmopolitan?

I'm trying to find out more about the Brintaal celtic music fesitval in Valstagna, Italy, which takes place at the end of August 2012. For some reason I can only access the 2011 website. I know Alan Stivell is playing on 31 August and I'd ilke to plan a trip over from UK for the festival. Does anyone know any more about dates, timetable, costs, how to book if ncessary, etc? We want to go on a holiday for a family of four from UK to Norway or Finland at or near Christmas. We just want a quiet winter holiday and to get to see Father Christmas. We don't want something horrendously expensive, and we don't really want something that's based on a winter sports holiday because we're not really into winter sports. Just a simple flight plus hotel/apartment or similar package would be fine.... Thank you!3 AnswersOther - Europe1 decade ago
We have to drive from Calais to Brest in Brittany. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay overnight?
We have two children. Nearer to Calais please as we arrive there mid-afternoon, so don't want to be driving more than 2-3 hours on the first day... Thank you!6 AnswersOther - France1 decade ago
