Food & cooking are my passions.
I've been getting into wine lately and I love it but there is sooo many kinds to choose from! I've been drinking a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Pinot Gris. I like both but want to explore more into different wines, but I feel overwhelmed when I go into a wine store and see so many different kinds!
Last night I bought two bottles of organic wine for some reason. One is a 2011 Carmenere of Chile, and a 2010 Merlot of Italy. I had no clue what I was doing when I was picking them out. Each was only around $15.00. Is that bad?
Could you guys explain the basics of different kinds of wines there are? Like taste, dryness, hints of flavors, mild, strong, red or white?
Also, what is your favorite wine/brand?
Thank you.4 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits8 years ago
