  • Is there something wrong with my Mac battery?

I got this Macbook Pro a month ago. The first 2 weeks I had it, the battery would last FOREVER. One time it lasted 17 hours straight. I wait till it warns me that the battery is going to die before I shut it off and plug it in overnight. Then when I wake up I unplug the charger and turn it on. Since last week, the battery has been dying rather quickly. I can only get about 4 hours now instead of the 8 that I did before. Is there a problem with my battery? I don't play games or anything strenuous. I just surf the net or do my school work. I don't run multiple programs at a time or anything of that sort. I've done the same routine since day 1. I bought the computer for it's battery life which the Apple technician assured me that even when running full blast, it will last me 6-8 hours. This is no longer the case. Should I contact Apple about this problem?

  • Legal advice for shoplifting...?

Before I explain my situation, I would like to say that yes, I fully understand what I did was completely wrong. I messed up big time and there is no excuse for it. I am thoroughly disgusted with myself and my actions and am asking for some advice, and not a lecture of my wrong doings.

A little over a week ago I got caught shoplifting from Wal-Mart in NH with $70 worth of make-up ( yes, I know very stupid, not worth it, and pathetic). It was the first time, and certainly will be the last time I ever, ever do something so stupid. I am 18. I was not arrested, but I was taken to the police department and asked to explain the situation, take my picture, fingerprints ect. They gave me my court date and the officer was very nice and understanding and told me not to worry, it isn't a big crime. However, this did not take away the great deal of shame, guilt, and disgust I had and still have for myself and my actions. Anyways, I am currently a freshman in college in MA working towards my nursing degree. I would really not like this to be on my record because being a nurse, it will hurt me trying to get a job and would have to report and explain this to the Board. Also, I constantly remind myself every day of my stupidity and just the sight of Wal-Mart makes me queasy so I need no extra reminders on my record. I would just like to know if asking the police departments prosecutor for a plea bargain would be a good idea to try and keep this off my record. Do they usually give plea bargains for these types of situations? If you have any extra helpful advice for me, it would be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance for taking the time out of your day to help me with this dilemma.

  • Idea's for an outdoor graduation party?

I'm having my graduation party in two parts. One party at 2 for family and friends which I need entertainment for and a fire at night for just my friends. I need ideas for entertainment other than a pig roast, live band, and inflatable obstacle courses/ moon walks. What can I rent that will be unexpected/ original but fun. We're country people so nothing that clashes with that.

  • How many boxes of cake mix do I need to make a 3 tier cake?

    I am planning on using pans sizes: 12x2 , 9x1 1/2, 5x 1 1/2.

I am also planning on having each tier 3 layers of cake.

Plus I would like the largest tier to be chocolate, the middle to be vanilla, and the smallest tier to be strawberry.

Also, I am going to cover it in fondant and I am wondering how many pounds I will need for this cake.

  • How many times can I dye my hair in one day?

I just got my hair professionally dyed from a dirty blonde to almost platinum. My hairdresser went as light as she could without bleaching and then added some beached highlights to amp it up. However, the regular color is just not light enough for me but now that it is really blonde I can dye it without the bleach. After my hair was finished she cut it and blew it dry and amazingly enough it was actually a lot healthier than it was before I dyed it. She was shocked that my hair was so silky smooth. I never blow dry my hair and I straighten it maybe 3 times a weeks and it is obnoxiously healthy. Before I dyed it (which was my first dye ever) I used deep cleansing hair shampoo from Redken and ISO daily and my hair still would be oily at the end of the day.If I buy a box of permanent color and dye it lighter within 24hrs, will it have a negative effect on my hair?

  • I have these lumps underneath my skin near my lower back like gumballs under my skin?

I have two of them on my lower back, one on each side. My left is larger than my right and I can literally take them and move them around.. sometimes I lose them when messing around with them. When I sit for a long time I can feel them aching. For a long time I thought they were just knots but they didn't go away no matter how much my boyfriend would rub them to try and get them unknotted. They are about the size of a quarter and are completely underneath my skin. You can't see them when you look at my back but they are certainly there. I have been suffering for a year and a half with a mysterious back injury that I started from a tumbling accident at cheering. I've had CAT scans , MRI's, X-rays,Cortisone shots, Facet joint shots and Bone scans but no one can target what is wrong. It looks like nothing is wrong but could these weird lumpy gumball things be the problem? They feel like gristle in my back.. they're circular and are kind off squishy but they feel funny when i touch them and move them around. Its kind off creepy. I haven't brought it up to my doctor because until now I thought they were just knots. Let me know if it sounds serious or not. I'm 17 and cancer runs very strong in my family but, I'm 17 and I don't think it could be cancer.
