this would be more a more convenient place than where the current one is now. I know the height between the floor and ceiling is 8 feet but I do not know how much is between the ceiling downstairs and the floor upstairs. Is there a standard way I can calculate the amount of room I will need to build the staircase?

Everybody is familiar with John 3:16, but take a look at John 3:17' "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." And in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Also read The parable of the Lost (Prodigal) son: Luke, 15:11-32, and like the Father of that parable, God, our Father loves you and is waiting with open arms to receive you. Will you come back to Him this Easter?

"Why do you believe that?" the preacher asks. "Just look around. There are people who are at war, people who lie, cheat, steal, and murder. How could there be a God who allows all of that to happen?" The preacher replies, "Well I don't believe in barbers." "Why is that?" asks the barber. "Because so many people are going around with shaggy, dirty, unkempt hair. How could there be a barber who would allow all that?" "That's because those people don't come to me." said the barber. "Exactly." replied the preacher. If you do not know God, then would you ask Him if He would make Himself real to you?
