  • Why is it hard to believe in God?

Recently I've had difficulty believing in God. I read the bible, and try to pray, yet it seems that I'm not as faithfully enthusiastic as I was in my teen years. I observe other christians, and they appear very active in their faith. However I still struggle in belief despite my past prayers to strengthen my faith. Does anyone relate to this? Any advice helps, thanks.

  • Can you be a Christian and accept evolution?

I get some criticism from relatives and friends that I can't do both. I personally believe that Jesus is my savior. I also happen to accept evolution. Just a thought.

  • Why did God crucify himself?

Why would God (the father) crucify himself (God the son) in order to forgive humanity? If God is omnipotent, why couldn't he just forgive humanity in the first place? Why bother crucifying yourself anyway? If God (Jesus) died for our sins because he "loves us", then God was never immortal, because he technically died. So when God (Jesus) died for your sins, wouldn't God stay dead? If not, then he didn't really die for you.

  • Do I lean towards atheism?

I often question my faith. (I'm a Christian btw) But I'm not a fundamentalist. I resent fundamentalism. I wouldn't dare call myself an atheist however. Is there something in between atheism and christianity. Is it possible to be an agnostic Christian? I've read the entire bible as well, but I still question things. Like God dying on the cross but coming back to life even after he actually died.

  • Should I minor in Business?

I go to UNM; I'm a sophomore. Currently, my major is business, but I have found that I am actually interested in philosophy recently. So I am choosing philosophy as my major, and pushing business to my minor. Would minoring in Business be a benefactor? (In terms of employment)

  • Which is cheaper, an apartment or a dorm?

I'm 19 (turn 20 in a month) and I'm considering to move out of my parents' house. I'm a college student; I go to the university here in the city. I work part time as well and I'm saving money. Generally speaking, which of the two is more affordable? Your thoughts, thanks.

  • Why are Christians judgmental?

I'm a Christian and I've noticed that the Christians around me are judgmental. I especially notice this among my relatives and strangers. They always judge people who are different than them. They judge people who are not of the same faith and people that are not straight. I have no problem if someone is different than me, I respect my fellow man. I let God do the judging, not me. Jesus said: "Judge not and ye shall not be judged." He also said to "love your neighbor as yourself." He also went after the hypocrites (pharisees) who acted just, but inwards they are spiteful and judgmental. I'm afraid that Christians are becoming just like the pharisees, claiming to be special and yet looking down on others. Because in the end we are all sinners.

  • Should I move out of my parents house?

I'm a 19 year old college student. I turn 20 in a few months. I have a job; I work from around 30-40 hours per week. I'm starting to save up already. Is it a good idea to room with someone or live on my own? I've found some affordable apartments, but I don't know about the dorms on campus. I'm gonna keep saving until I reach a significant amount in my savings balance however. I just want my independence already. Your thoughts, thanks.

  • Do girls like younger guys?

I'm 19 and I had a first date with this girl yesterday, she is 23. It went really well, because she wanted to meet again. I'm just wondering why most girls prefer guys who are way older. What are some reasons you won't date someone younger.

  • Why hasn't she texted back?

Ok I've been talking to this girl for a few weeks already. We had our first date today (early today) and it went really well. Before we parted ways, she told me that we should meet again. And tonight I texted her that I had a good time seeing her today and I also said goodnight. That was all I sent. Up to now she hasn't replied with anything. (my phone said the the message was "read") I don't know if I'm being paranoid or ridiculously anxious. Your thoughts, thank you.

  • Should I go out with this girl from work?

There is this one girl at work that I happen to like. I'm thinking of asking her out. Is this a good idea? I'm confident that she feels the same about me. I'm just ambivalent due to the fact that we work together. Your opinions, thanks.

  • How long should it take to grow my first beard?

I'm 19 right now. I've been wanting to grow a beard already, but I can't. I can only grow facial hair above my lip and around my chin so far. My dad has a full beard, so there is the potential that I can grow one too. I heard testosterone pills will definitely help; haven't tried them. Any other tips to grow a beard faster or just let nature take it's course? Thanks.
