I'm currently running a a set of printers which have displayed connectivity issues since switching to a VPN tunnel at my workplace last week. The three printers are Printronix Model MVPs (vintage early '80s), connected through HP JetDirect cards (two 300X, one 170X), and operated using Enterprise Server VPS/VMCF.
The errors are usually correctable after shutting off the printer and disconnecting the JetDirect Card; however, two of the printers has been experience an issue for the last few days displaying an error message of "WCONNECT." While this is often correctable using the above message for the other two printers, one of them at any given time is completely non-responsive.
Calls to my IT department and the helpdesks of HP, Enterprise, and the company which maintains our printers have yielded no results.
Will happily provide any further information which is needed to diagnose.
