4 months ago I met a very sweet adolescent cat. She was in my back yard and i called her and she came to me. I pet her and she came back repeatedly over the following weeks. One day she literally barged into my house and explored while I chased her to put her back out. She did it again a few days later. She was clean, with very soft fur, healthy looking, but very thin.
Then she vanished for 2 weeks and I thought she was gone, she reappeared and was very skittish for a day, and has never quite been the same. I assumed her owners must have taken a vacation for 2 weeks and something must have traumatized her.
She warmed up to my husband and me again and clearly wanted to come into my home, so I finally let her visit. She was so thin, so I started feeding her daily, she eats like she hasn't eaten in weeks and she has filled out a little bit, but is still quite slim. She spends most of every day at my house, sleeping, eating, and getting lots of affection. However every evening she leaves and doesn't come back until the morning.
I would be ok with this going on indefinitely. She is a wonderful cat and I have come to love her.
Here is the problem: I am going on vacation for 2 weeks and I don't know what will happen when I'm gone. I plan to put up fliers in the neighborhood with her pic asking if she belongs to someone, but if no one comes forward I think I might have to make arrangements for her to be kept inside my house and fed and watered while I'm away. I don't have a litter box, but she has never voided inside the house. I fear that this will be traumatic for her no matter what I do.

I'm hosting a family reunion in September, 2010 and I need a playlist with songs that will appeal to people who are mostly in their 40s, 50s, and 60s for background music. There may be some kids and there will be a couple of 80+ year old guests. I want to have a festive atmosphere, so very slow songs probably won't do. I welcome all suggestions.3 AnswersOther - Music1 decade ago
I need a whole playlist of songs for a gathering that will have people of all ages (including someone in her 80s). Ideally it should have songs that won't be too disruptive, but that help generate an upbeat, party mood. Personally, I tend to like alternative and new wave, but classics, pop music, rock, and anything else (aside from gangsta rap, country, and death metal) is fine. I would appreciate it if people enter entire playlists. The party will be in mid-September and I will host it both inside and outside.4 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade ago
I've recently had a big loss and I cry a lot. I'm talking about crying jags that can last for an hour and/or which include screaming like a child. Sometimes I start shaking after a while, I get dizzy or nauseous, and I notice my lips and face start turning blue if it goes on long enough and intensely enough. What is happening?4 AnswersOther - General Health Care1 decade ago
You take someone with talent, put them on a stage, let them get all hot and sweaty performing their heart out, and it doesn't matter what they look like, someone will find them hot.
I admit it, I'm a groupie at heart. I've had many crushes on musicians, but I've never gotten to act on any of them. If I could be with only one of them, it would be Trent Reznor. Yep, I want to f--k him like an animal! I even have a deal with my husband that I'm allowed to do that if I get the opportunity and it won't count (he has a similar deal regarding a certain blonde actress).

Earlier today I asked a question that some people misinterpreted: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhiWq...
So I thought I'd ask this question in a way that would leave no one confused.13 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade ago
Do you like to eat out because you want a more varied menu? Do you dislike the stuff that you get at home? What do you like best about eating out?
I assume most women who enjoy eating out enjoy it because they don't have to cook or clean (very sexist of me), correct me if I'm wrong.7 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade ago
I have to admit, I think I listen to some great stuff. It doesn't make me a better person, but I really question WTF people are thinking when they listen to certain "artists."
BQ: Is there a band that you think is ok, but everyone else seems to think is special? - for me that would be Radiohead.19 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade ago

I seldom can stand cover versions, but on rare occasion there are exceptions that are even better than the original version. Here are a few of mine:
Hurt - covered by Johnny Cash, original by Nine Inch Nails
Let's Spend the Night Together - covered by David Bowie, original by Rolling Stones.
Night and Day - covered by U2, original by Cole Porter

According to exit polls 52% of Americans making more than 250k a year voted Obama. Does that surprise you?
I actually expected that most people making 250K a year, the income point where taxes will raised for folks, would vote for Obama. What about you?51 AnswersElections1 decade ago
