  • Why is my kitten acting different?

I adopted a 3 month old kitten last week and he was the sweetest most cuddly kitten...he still is at times but take it down a few notches.  I couldn't believe how acclimated he was almost immediately.  A couple hours after meeting him, he would fall asleep on my shoulder and knead into me non stop, he would even knead into the air.  Yesterday was day 5 of him being home and he stated acting different. He barely kneads , purs less, doesn't follow me around everywhere as much, doesn't want to cuddle in bed as much like he used to.  Overall, he is just showing way less affection. Less head nudging and hugs (yes, he even gave hugs at first) He's been traveling a few times a week to his grandmas house (my fiance's mom) so she can babysit while we are at work...could this be too overwhelming? He seems to absolutely love it there and car rides dont bother him so idk. He's obsessed with grandma too so that can't be it.

Could he be sick? Sometimes his breathing is very rapid but it usually stops after a couple of minutes. he has a vet appt Saturday so I will definitely mention that to him.

I just want my sweet baby back :( I love him so much. I don't know why he lost interest in me so quickly.

  • Switching from prozac to zoloft?

I took prozac for 15 days and then skipped one day and started zoloft right after due to awful side effects from prozac . I'm on day 13 of zoloft now. Does this mean I have 28 days worth of seratonin building in my system or does it kind of reset upon switching medications? I'm still not feeling right. I wake up extremely anxious and my head is so clouded. My head gets tired and spacy and I feel hopeless some days. My thoughts have been racing today and I feel like I'm losing my mind. I just want my old self back. I'm exhausted and feel weak and sick too. Should I give it another 2 weeks? I'm on 50 mg btw.

  • Why do I feel like I'm slipping away when I try to sleep (zoloft)?

I am on day 8 of zoloft and it seems to be helping a little bit at this point except every other night I get this weird sensation of very light arms and legs and a sinking feeling in stomach and heart when I try to sleep. I also feel dizzy with dry mouth. Has anyone had this experience before?

  • When will I be able to function again?

I started prozac 10mg for my general anxiety disorder and panic disorder and got 10x worse and could not handle the side effects. 15 days in, my doctor switched me to zoloft with only one day in between taking no medication.

Would the prozac have built up seratonin in my brain and the zoloft would only help more? Or am I supposed to look at it as if I'm starting from square 1 with zoloft and wait another 6 or more weeks until zoloft works on its own? I figure they're both SSRI'S so wouldnt I have already built seratonin in my system?

I do see minimal improvements on day 8 but I would expect more at this point.
