  • How to get over someone you fell really hard for?

I feel so pathetic. A while ago I got ghosted by a girl while she was studying abroad and we were texting, and still after so long I can't get over her. For context, her and I used to work together at our summer job, and we got along really well and would tease each other and all kinds of stuff. My coworker said it looked like we were dating whenever we would talk, but I had a rule of not dating at work so I didn't ask her out until I stopped working there. At the time she was getting ready to go study abroad, but she was cool with us texting and calling until she came back. At that point I had fallen hard for her, I hadn't met anyone like her or had someone be on a similar wave mentally, but then she ghosted me and I don't know why. At this point I don't care, I just want to move on and try to find a girl that I connect with even better, or in a different way, but I just can't seem to reach that point.

  • If a girl asks you to be in her photoshoot?

I've known this girl since high school, and we happened to go to the same college for this year. I crossed paths with her and we stopped to talk to each other. A few days later, we hung out for lunch. At one point she looks at me and says, "do you have a suit? I'd like to shoot you for a project for my degree." I don't have a suit so I said no. Does this mean anything? Does she think I look good?

  • Why would your friend say you have "the looks"?

I was hanging out with my buddy on campus one day last year, and at one point he turns to me and says, "bro, you have the looks". What does this mean? People look at me? I look weird? The way I dress is off?

  • Do guys have to double text girls these days?

I came across a thread on Twitter where a girl said she forgets to text her SO and he double texts her when he needs to, so guys shouldn't be afraid to double text in general. Someone also said it was basically being too prideful as a man if you don't double text.

I don't double text as a rule of thumb. For example, I didn't double text this one girl after she stopped texting me (she was studying abroad, she said she was super busy at one point). The thinking was, "she's busy now, she'll get back to me at some point" since we had known each other for a while and had good chemistry in person, but she didn't so I left it alone. In my mind, if she's really interested, she won't just forget about me altogether. But seeing that thread has made me question what happened with that girl (plus I have a buddy who has gotten back to work and isn't texting back nearly as much, it makes me think she was being genuine).

Am I right to have this rule, or is double texting normal now?

  • If a girl shows you a song?

I work at a country club in my hometown every summer, and I happen to work with a few of the girls from my school. Today my old friend had her first day here, and I showed her around the course. At one point we started listening to music, when she showed me a song, "Unforgettable" by French Montana. It was the only song pick of hers we listened to before we got back to our work station. It seemed very romantic, I was wondering if something so simple could mean anything?

  • Too busy to text?

Last fall, I was talking to a girl I met at my summer job who swiped me on Tinder, but went to study abroad so it was all text-based. Everything was going well enough, but after a month of slow back and forth I was having to double text, which I did twice before leaving it alone. She claimed she was really busy with 30 college credits and being a tourist. I didn't really believe it so I cut it off, but lately I've been talking to a buddy who is less busy, but is having a hard time responding to our text threads and takes days to do so (partially cause he has made the thread wild long). Can someone genuinely be too busy to text? And if so, would it be at all worth it to try and message this girl again?

  • What should I do about this girl?

I met this girl in high school 5 years ago. We were pretty friendly with each other, for example I would post the"tbh" posts on Facebook and she would like every last one. We were also friendly in college. We both went to the local school, but we wouldn't see each other often. Of the times we did, she seemed happy to be around me. We ended up talking at the library once for a few hours before I had to leave. It got real deep, we talked about family and a bunch of other stuff. Or if we had a class we would sit together and do homework and stuff like that. Between then and now, she got a boyfriend. Once we hung out before class doing homework and he showed up, he barely even looked at me or even said hi, it seemed like he was jealous. Here's why I ask this question: She texted me last month out of nowhere, saying she found her old phone with my number in it. We texted for a while but she ended up dropping the conversation. I left it alone but she texted me a few days ago, and the same thing happened. The first time makes sense but why text me twice, especially if she's just going to drop the conversation. Should I make an effort to stay friends and text first? I could take it or leave it, I haven't seen her in forever. I doubt our friendship would change if I didn't do anything.

  • Would a girl ghost you over Tinder notifications, or something else?

This girl and I swiped each other, and we started talking. She was studying abroad when we started talking, so I kept the conversation going by asking her about her trip, what she likes to watch or do, etc. After about a month, I was having to double text, which was ok to me at first because she was taking a huge load of credits and touring and just overall busy. I double texted twice before letting the conversation drop. She didn't text back after that. One theory I have is that she saw I was on Tinder and changing stuff on my profile, I didn't realize it showed up for her. To be clear I didn't swipe, I don't know why I was on there at all to be honest. Another theory is just that she lost interest or found someone, though the conversations had been decent. Which of the two is more likely to have had happened?

  • Should I message this girl?

This girl and I worked at a hotel for two summers, me outside and her inside. Every once in a while I would go inside and joke with her and be sassy. She would also come outside and do the same to me. When we talked seriously she would tell me things she wouldn't tell other people, like lying to our coworkers about going out. At the end of this last summer we swiped each other on Tinder and started talking. She went to study abroad and gave me her number so we could keep talking. It was going decently but at some point I was having to double text to get responses, so I let it go. She was super busy over there with both school and touring Europe. But I think she saw I changed some things on my Tinder (I wasn't swiping, I don't know why I made that mistake) and I don't think she didn't like that or maybe thought I didn't like her in a serious way after that so she ghosted me. Yesterday I logged into facebook and saw she was a "new friend suggestion" which means she might have looked at my profile, cause I get the same from the girls from Tinder. My question is, should I message her and see how things are and try to get something going again?

  • Why would a girl write this for you?

I am in the highest-ranked choir at my school, which has a lot of beautiful girls in it. Anyways, we had to write our names on individual pieces of paper, which would then be passed around to everyone in the class and they would all write something nice or a memory they shared with you. This girl wrote "Sexual!!!...mmmmmmmmm" on mine, but she did not write her name after she said it, which was weird because everyone else wrote their names after what they said. The only way I found out who it was was when I compared with a buddy of mine and she wrote something just friendly on his paper, with her name afterward, and I knew it was hers because it had the exact same writing style and color of marker on it. What does this mean?
