I used to be very active playing and training for soccer and burning 3500 plus calories a year last year. After I graduated High School this year, I haven't played but I developed a kidney problem that has kept me away from the sport. I have been eating a ton but I gained a lot of fat and weight and I'm really disappointed with myself right now because I've never been fat. The most I can do is go out and shoot some hoops for about an hour MAX at a low intensity. If I decrease my calorie expenditure to a little bit below my maintenance and eat healthy foods, should I be fine because really, it is not that much exercise I can do (light walking and shooting a basketball).
To describe how bad it is, I used to be 5' 10" 150 ibs very lean and fit (40 bpm resting heart rate from all the soccer) and now I weight 172 ibs and am chubbier than my sister who does nothing at all but sit at a computer and eat junk food.
