My ex had me charged with Domestic Assault by lying to police at the scene. She has since sent a letter to the Crown recanting her statement. She even emailed the letter to me. She says in the letter that she was angry that I locked her out of the house. Court case is still pending. If she gets up on the stand and admits that I did not assault her (other way around actually) can I sue her civilly for damages/suffering/etc under Canadian Law?2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade ago
My ex violated her probation after being sentenced to 18 months probation. The courts and probation officer ordered her not to "communicate in any way, directly or indirectly..." with me which she did, almost immediately after sentencing. At the time, it didn't matter to me, I wasn't doing anything wrong. She was sentenced in 2006 and completed her probation in 2008. Can she be in trouble (charged) now, even though the probation order is over?1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade ago
I have been using (Rogers) Yahoo web-based email but I want to switch to Outlook 2007 and import all my folders and messages saved on web-based email (server). Is there a way to do this? Autosync will only update calender, contacts, notes and tasks, and even there Outlook 2007 is not listed as an option to sync with.2 AnswersSending and Receiving Messages1 decade ago
As a Canadian, would it be illegal for me to program a FTA receiver to decode American satellite signals such as DishNetwork? Please include reference websites if possible. As a Canadian, I know it would be illegal to decode Canadian satellite signals. I was "told" that "if you can't buy it, you can't steal it." Any truth to this?5 AnswersOther - Electronics1 decade ago
I want to darken the color without sanding. The FAQ on Minwax site says not recommended for floors, but what if I topcoated it with a good quality polyurethane? Has anyone ever tried this? Any other porduct suggestions?

I rent a condo and want to redo the topcoat on my hardwood floors without sanding the entire area with a belt sander. My plan was to use Minwax's Polyshades (Dark Walnut color to hide any water stains) and topcoat with a good quality polyurethane. Before all of this I figured I have to remove any wax from previous tenants and give it a quick (hand?) sanding. Any suggestions? Keeping costs low is my number one factor.2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade ago
2000 Dodge Caravan Sport, 3.8 MFI, 2WD, Pass/Driver "split" HVAC controls with Rear fan control. The A/C is not very cool, yet clutch is engaging intermittently, figure it's low on refrigerant. Bought DIY canister at Walmart. Just want to get through this summer as I am selling it in the fall.3 AnswersDodge1 decade ago
I have a 2000 Dodge Caravan that I have installed LED turn signals (front) and tails/stop in the rear. Now when I put on the turn signal it blinks 2 or 3 times as fast as it should. I'm guessing it has something to do with me changing the resistance of the circuit? Can I correct this with a resistor installed across the +/- or inline on the +? What size?2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade ago

I'm wondering about adding a system to my stock vehicle. Is it worth the money for an entry level system? Any info would be appreciated. Is there an "Idiots guide to water injection"?3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade ago
Can a Cdn Youth conviction for theft over $1000 be used in the finding of inadmissibility under INA 212?
The charge was handled entirely in Youth Court (1995). I was 17 at the time I committed the offense, but by the time I got through our backlogged court system, I was 18 and 4 months. The charge was summary conviction under the Young Offenders Act, as all charges were. However if I had have been an adult at the time, it would have been a strictly indictable offense.
Please provide a source if possible. thnx1 AnswerImmigration1 decade ago
I am a Canadian wishing to enter the United States. I was charged (and convicted) 12 years ago with "possession of a weapon, namely a pellet gun for a purpose dangerous to the public peace" contrary to Section 87 of the Canadian Criminal Code. Customs usually laughs at the charge, but I would like to know 1) if there is anything in the US code that says a pellet gun is illegal to possess? 2) Will this conviction bar me from entering the US?6 AnswersImmigration1 decade ago
