  • Is Acer a good brand to buy from?

I'm currently attempting to find a good laptop to buy for my return to College and I am currently eyeing the Acer Aspire V3-572G-587W: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K81O3PY/ref=s9...

I own an Acer Aspire One D250 which has lasted me six years and is still running pretty well. The only issue I've had (involving it's build) is that the wifi card died last year. This netbook is the only computer I've ever owned so my experience with Acer is very limited.

I've heard Acer isn't exactly the best brand when it comes to their build quality from one of my friends so I'm trying to collect as many opinions as possible.

How do I remove WD Passport Security?

I am attempting to remove my WD My Passport's password security so I can use it on my Linux Mint partition. The problem is that whenever I try to edit the security so that I will not have to type in a password, I get this screen:

I know for a fact that I am using the right password as this allows me to change the password but not remove it. I need to know what's going on and how to fix this.

  • What's the best laptop for under $600?

First I understand I could probably build a pretty good desktop for $600 but sadly I need to have something portable.

So, I'm looking for a laptop under $600 but is still strong enough to handle quick video conversion and photoshop.

  • What wallpaper resolution works best for the Moto G?

I've recently bought the Moto G with Android 4.4 (Kit-Kat) and I want to know what the best resolution would be. I want to change the wallpaper but this is my first time using an android device and I know that the screen turns when the phone turns 180 degrees.

So I want to know what the best resolution would be for an Android phone with Kit-Kat.

  • Which of these is the best router to buy?

I'm looking to buy a router for my grandmother and I want to make sure it's something that wouldn't end up being too much of a hassle if I'm not around. I've managed to pick out three that seem pretty good. If you have a better router, please post tell me.

    D-Link DIR 605L

  • What router would be most compatible with a Dhg535-2 cable modem?

I have a Thomson DHG535-2 cable modem by Comcast and I am wondering if I need to buy a router just to receive wi-fi. I know I can attach my netbook directly using a Ethernet wire but we have two computers in the house. If I need a router, what router would be the most compatible for a DHG535-2 cable modem?

  • Should I get a Wireless USB for my netbook?

I have an Acer Aspire One D250 (AOD250) and the wifi has constantly been cutting on and off whenever I start typing. This has become a major problem and I was wondering if getting a wireless USB adapter like a Edimax EW-7811un or Medialink Wireless adapter would solve the issue. I can also give my netbook a mini PCI-e wireless card but I can't seem to find a card that fits my netbook.

  • Why does my Laptop's wifi keep cutting off?

It's definitely not my router since this happens in multiple locations. It happens most whenever I'm typing. It tends to happen when I press the up and down keys or when I hold down the delete button as well. This is becoming extremely annoying and I really need a solution to this.

  • Why does my C++ code only run on certain computers?!?

I have a C++ code that seems to only run on a couple of computers. My code doesn't run on my computer (anymore) and I use Code Blocks 12.11 or my professor's computer who I believe uses VMware. It runs perfectly on two of my classmates computers that use Visual C++ 2010. The main problem is that my code actually did run perfectly well two weeks ago on my computer but now it does nothing. I can't switch over to Visual C++ 2010 because my OS is Windows XP so I have to deal with what I got.

This is the code in question.
