• How do I get my .gif to play on Tumblr? I've removed frames and reduced size to 1 MB and it still won't play or post properly.?

  • How do I turn all of my tracked changes green in Word?

I'm partway through an editing doc and the client just told me that she wants all my changes to be colored green (as in green text color, not green highlighting or green trackchange markings). Is there a way to write a macro that will change the font color of all my tracked changes?

Suddenly, I keep getting messages that Drive C is nearly full ...and I keep getting them. The majority of those new Word files? Shunted off to a storage device. My music and pictures? Ditto. Old programs that I don't use any more? Gone. That auto would-you-like-to-save-some-space-by-del... program? Completed repeatedly. But even though I've removed way more stuff than I've added, I KEEP getting messages saying that I'm running out of space. What is taking up all my storage space and how do I find and remove it? I download new Word documents daily for work. I've removed over a hundred of them from the hard drive, but adding even one or two new ones gets me a running-out-of-space prompt. I play Zynga games like Farmville, but I have never permitted Zynga to store files on my computer. Computer in question is a seven-year-old Dell Inspiron 700m. I've just gotten a new computer, but I plan to keep this one as well because it (usually) doesn't tick me off.

  • How do I get Excel to ALWAYS list dates with hyphens instead of slashes? READ BEFORE YOU ANSWER.?

I already know how to set individual cells and columns to dashes (-) instead of slashes (/). What I want to know is how to make dashes the default setting throughout Excel (without setting all cells to "Date"), preferably throughout my computer. I remember doing it years ago, but I don't remember exactly how to pull it off.

She doesn't stink or anything; she just looks like a tub of wet dryer lint. I'm concerned because other members of my family keep commenting on how "terrible" she looks and ask "Are we doing her any favors [by keeping her alive]?" Please note that ACCORDING TO THE VET, to whom I take this cat regularly, she's old and slow but not in a significant amount of pain. In other words, she might look terrible, but the kitty Kevorkian would be premature. I've tried using a regular comb on her, but that doesn't quite do the trick. How can I help her look like the with-it senior kitty that she is? NOTE: Cat also receives meds for her arthritis, so if that's the cause, I'm already doing what can be done about it.

I enjoy copy editing, but it's a dying profession, but it seems to me that accounting might have some of the same feel of combing things out and putting them right. Could any accountants out there tell me what their work lives are like? Heavy influence on the nuts and bolts would be appreciated. (For example, engineers work in big rooms, in a sea of desks. They never work alone. There's a lot of noise. There's no room for creativity, etc. etc.)
