I bought a certified car (2009 Toyota Camry, 19000miles) from an Authorized Dealer last year. I’m experiencing lot of issue since I bought it.
Issue 1: Happened with 3 month from the day I purchased the car. Air Conditioner water vent out pipe got blocked and all the water came into the car and coasted me around $350 to fix it.
Issue 2: Happened after 1 year(06/10). Recently when I visited Toyota services center for 30,000 miles services, mechanic told me shocking news that, Rear break pad are almost gone(0%) which will eventually damage rotor and if it’s not fixed immediately, It may cause break failure & accident. So I’ve ended up spending $300 to fix it.
Issue 3: Diagnosed recently during 30,000 miles services. Front Axel/Bearing is making noise which needs to be changed. Axel is covered in extended warrant, but Bearing is not covered. So they gave an estimate of $750.
I’m really confused & not sure what type of inspection Toyota/Dealer done for the car and certified it. I’m encountering issues one after another and I’m really worried. I called Toyota customer service to look into issue and they agreed to look into this issue.
The scary part is, if I didn’t take my car for 30,000miles or if the services person didn’t notify me on the break issue, I might have ended up in accident.
Is it possible to take up this issue legally or I’ve to live with it? This is new bad experience for me; I would really appreciate, if anyone could help me out to come out of this issue.
Thanks in advance.
