  • Does anyone know the AC\DC album that has letters from Angus and Malcolm's teacher in parochial school...?

describing Angus with bloody knees, torn uniform, and Malcolm as when he actually does put pen to paper, it's to write poetry of some vile sort? I'd actually like that letter verbatim, so the album or the actual verbiage. Thanks.

  • why is "social engineering" used to describe...?

... what it quite obviously pretexting. I don't know why these people can't read a simple dictionary, but says...

    Main Entry: social engineering

: management of human beings in accordance with their place and function in society : applied social science.

This would be a function of a school or a re-eduction camp. It perfectly describes the book 1984 literally.

The flap that erupted when the CEO of HP tried to find out who was leaking board meeting information was surprisingly correct when it described the investigator's behavior as pretexting. Finally someone understands English. Let's see what Webster has to say.

: a purpose or motive alleged or an appearance assumed in order to cloak the real intention or state of affairs

1: a claim made or implied; especially : one not supported by fact

4: professed rather than real intention or purpose: pretext <was there under false pretenses>

    5: make-believe, fiction

    That about sums it up.

    See pretend.

  • Do you think the Wachowski brothers were trying to tell us something?

Do you think it was purely coincidental that the pill that represented the option of allowing you to once again embrace your ignorance, blithely unaware that your little world is nothing but a grand fabrication was blue, and the pill that represented seeking the truth no matter what the cost was red? Is it a coincidence that red represents conservatives and blue represents liberals?

  • Do you marvel at how some people think their freedom of speech is being violated on Yahoo Answers? if Yahoo somehow owes them a forum, for which they most likely don't pay, just so they can exercise free speech.
