The article said it had been done in mice and the technology was being described as a way to keep more people using real teeth where today the only option is dentures or bridges or whatever. As someone with teeth slowly rotting out of my head I was pretty excited about this possibility. Does anyone know if this research has continued and if any progress has been made?

  • How much might one dandy lad be asked to pay for a fascinator for a fashionable miss?

I am off to the ponies this November and my lady absolutely must look her best. Only the finest of finery, and most fascinating fascinator is to be perched on her head. How many of Daddy's dubloons will I need to auction to make her the belle of the ball?

Would they shoot out the other side? Bounce back and forth until they eventually sit suspended in the exact center? Or maybe you would gain speed until you hit terminal velocity, then as you get closer to the center your speed would slow down until you come to a slow and gentle stop at the center? Discuss. And I know you can't actually... show more

Or maybe you would gain speed until you hit terminal velocity, then as you get closer to the center your speed would slow down until you come to a slow and gentle stop at the center? Discuss. And I know you can't actually build that tunnel so don't bother to mention the impossibility. It's hypothetical. ;-)
