I ve recently become interested in the Global 30 programme, and I want to know how roughly how many hours a week I will be spending attending classes as I heard the Japanese education system is very rigorous. Will I have ample time for multiple clubs and exploring Japan? Currently, I have 24 hours of class a week in the a levels programme, and I already find being active in more than one club quite hard, as I do a lot of revision on top of normal classes.2 AnswersJapan5 years ago
I have to dissect a frog this Wednesday, and I just...don't want to do it. I wouldn't mind that much if the whole classroom was dissecting a frog that was already dead, but for this project my teacher says we each have to find one and kill it ourselves. The thought of having to dissect a frog already makes me upset, but having to personally KILL one makes me want to cry. What should I do?3 AnswersBiology6 years ago
The school I attend is in a country where publicly voicing opinions that just slightly disagree with the government can get you in trouble. Here, the school curriculum is horrible. Our science textbooks are horribly outdated, written almost a decade ago, and severely lack content. History textbooks are very obviously biased, and for Moral studies we have to memorize definitions word-for-word to gain points in exams. You can't pass exams without buying reference books or going for an after school tuition class, which utterly sucks for poor students.
As teachers go, for my school and the schools my friends go to at least, the teachers simply don't care. They don't attend class regularly, their method of 'teaching' is just reading from the book, and are just downright boring. Some teachers are good, sure, but they usually hold high positions in school so they have to miss lots of classes for meetings and such.
The only reason I'm still staying at this school is because of my friends, but even then I feel like I'm wasting my time. I get good results, but that's all from my own hard work, so what's the point of going to school? I've thought about bringing up this matter to my parents, but unfortunately dropping out of school in this country is seen as a very shameful thing to do, and my conservative parents will probably just tell me to go back to studying.
What should I do? Is there just something I'm not getting? Thoughts please, thanks in advance.5 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education6 years ago
I'm graduating in a year and, as you already know from the title, have no idea what I want to be. So I'll just leave some details about me, please help me think of jobs I can do.
I'm a person who cares a lot about the environment
I want to help people but not in a medical sort of way since I can't stand looking at blood and sharp objects like needles
I'm not good at handling children and animals, though I love them a lot
I'm good at subjects that require more logical thinking, like maths and science
I can't stand playing musical instruments
I prefer to understand things instead of memorizing formulas
I don't mind doing rough work like cleaning gutters and the sort
I learn 4 languages, English being the only one I'm good at
Very long, but I'd appreciate any help.3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment6 years ago

I'm going on a tour to China with my family soon. I've been there a lot of times, and the biggest problem i have is that there's nothing to do on the long bus and plane rides. so please recommend a good, long 3ds game or one that has good replay value. Thanks ^^
btw, eshop is not available in my country3 AnswersVideo & Online Games7 years ago
Would you rather be able to physically play vr games, or play with a controller and not have to move your body? With the exception of your hands, of course.
Also, what sort of games would you want to be developed for virtual reality platforms?4 AnswersVideo & Online Games8 years ago
1) Kino's Journey
2) Clannad After Story
4) Spice and Wolf
If you're wondering why clannad is sorta low on the list, it's because i felt nagisa had too little character development, and wasn't focused on enough, considering she was the main female lead. Not that i don't like nagisa.6 AnswersComics & Animation8 years ago
i've been doing traditional art for awhile, and would like to try out digital. right now i'm torn between the capture and the create. the wacom site says the capture is best for photo editing and the create is best for art. but i also heard some people say that other than the size of the active area, they're just similar.
i really have to think about this since the value of my country's money is very low and hence a capture costs 419 bucks and a create costs 300 bucks more.2 AnswersDrawing & Illustration8 years ago
Yes, I know it sounds horrible. But I thought about it over and over and if I said I did love my family I would be lying. I'm not sure how I could ever come to love them. My mom is constantly out working, and only wants me to be at the top of my class, then go study to be a lawyer or accountant. She even told me I didn't need any friends that had worse grades than me and would compare me to my friends who got better grades than me.
I don't have much to say about my father. It feels like he isn't even part of my family.
My brother is 18, and the one that I was closest to, until he graduated. He started putting his friends and girlfriend first, and doesn't want to talk to me anymore. Even during our one month vacation from school we only saw each other like once a week tho we were in the same house 24/7.
Yeah, I don't know. Advice please....4 AnswersFamily8 years ago
PS: atheists are free not to answer
My country's school history books require me to study about this other religion (let's call it TOR for short) even tho more than a quarter of my country's people don't believe in it. Just studying about it gives me a headache and makes me feel guilty. Which leads to me not wanting to study it whatsoever. The thing is, it is compulsory to get an A in history, or else my chances of getting into any college is screwed.
