I met this girl my sophomore year in high school We had a class together and didn't talk much but you could say we were acquaintances. Junior year we had a class and actually started talking. We would be in the same groups during group work, and eventually started sitting next to eachother every day. That is when I really started to like her and when she got a boyfriend. She always flirted with me and had told me that I was cute once or twice, so I was confused. She still flirted with me and I felt like we got really close. She would playfully punch me and tease me all the time. She still had a boyfriend so I started to act like I didn't care because I felt like she didn't care either. That summer her sister would hangout with my sister a lot and when she would come pick her up she always wanted me to come say hi. Senior year we had no classes and only said hi a few times between classes. She ended up going to a university and I to a juco for football. How do i get to talk to her again1 AnswerSingles & Dating7 years ago
During high school I knew this girl that I became really fond of. Sophomore year we knew each other but didn't really talk, junior year we sat next to each other all year in a class and flirted a lot becoming pretty good friends. She had a boyfriend so I never tried anything. Senior year she still had a boyfriend and I had no classes with her so I basically made a mistake and stopped trying. After graduation she went to the local university and I went to the local junior college to play football and eventually transfer. I haven't seen her in about a year and a half. Just trying to get any suggestions on how to go about trying to get to know her again. I don't have her number but she lives somewhat close to me and we are friends on a social network. How can I do this without being weird?1 AnswerSingles & Dating7 years ago

I have a large lab mix, he is about 90 pounds. He is older, about 10 but he is in very good shape and very energetic for his age. I noticed today that he is putting hardly any weight on his right back leg when he stands. When he is walking it seems to be ok but when standing he doesn't put weight on it. He seems to have arthritis in his hips but not sure why he's not putting weight on it now? Any suggestions?7 AnswersDogs7 years ago
I am currently an academic sophomore, but a freshman in football at a junior college. I did not play my freshman year due to a hamstring injury, however I was a full time student that semester and have been ever since. I did not grayshirt during my freshman year because I was still enrolled as I full time student. Now as a sophomore in school, but a freshman in athletics I am receiving no playing time whatsoever and am considering using my redshirt or grayshirt so that I do not waste a year of eligibility. I was wondering if I do this will I still have 4 more years of eligibility or has my clock already started when I enrolled full time? Advice is appreciated as well. I am already staying 1 extra semester next year so that I can play one more year of JC footballl, but I am transferring after that whether I receive an offer or not. I woke up in the middle of the night and rolled over and my neck made a slight crack/pop and now I can barely turn my head in any direction. I play college football and slightly hurt my neck about 2 weeks earlier, but it hadnt been hurting for about a week. Now it feels the same again. What should I do to gain full range of motion back?1 AnswerInjuries7 years ago

I can barely dunk when i take a few steps, stop and go up off 2 feet. but when i try it off 1 foot i can barely touch rim? why is this? i am 6'3 235 lbs, but i cant lose any weight because i play college football. i was measured at a 32 inch vertical jump, and i squat about 450, so why can i only get up off 2 feet? one foot dunks just look way smoother and coordinated. any tips on dunking off one foot? i know its easier to keep speed and momentum off of one foot since u dont have to stop3 AnswersBasketball7 years ago
I work at a pizza place and last night before I went home my boss asked me if I could come to the store at 5:30 am the next morning to help him clean the oven for 15 minutes and he would pay me for 2 hours of work. I said I would and set my alarm when I went to bed that night for 530am. So I wake up today and my alarm is going off and its 7:30am. I freaked out and immediatly grabbed my phone. I had a missed call and 3 texts asking me if I was awake. I immediatly called but got no answer. I left a message apologizing and texted what had happened and how sorry I was. He just replied 'its done and overwith.' Now I'm worried he is pissed off at me and I might get fired! I work in a few hours...any advice?2 AnswersFood Service8 years ago
I took the ASVAB test in high school and apparently I did pretty well on it because the USMC has been trying relentlessly to get me to enlist ever since. I've just now finished my freshman year at a junior college and i'm playing football there. I have a good chance of receiving a scholarship to a bigger school that will pay for my education. Marine recruiters call me about once every 2 weeks and I've been telling them i'm happy where i'm at now and they just say ok, i'll keep in touch then they call back the next week. Finally i just started ignoring their calls for about 6 months and today they called my house phone which had no caller id so i picked up. then the guy goes on and on about how what if you dont get a football scholarship and this and that so i spoke to him for a little while just to not be rude but i showed no interest but he just keeps calling! how do i get them to leave me alone without being an asshole cuz all the recruiters are nice and seem like cool dudes7 AnswersMilitary8 years ago
I'm a junior college tight end and we just had our "pro-day" or testing day. I had numbers that I was very happy with other than my 40 time.
I'm 6'4" tall, and weigh about 235. I play tight end.
Pro-agility (20yd shuttle): 4.3sec
Vertical jump: 32in
Broad jump: 9'4"
Bench press (225lbs): 13 reps
40: 5.1 (not sure if this was my electric or hand time, i did both but when i asked what i ran they only gave me that)
Anyway, i'm wondering what could be causing my forty time to be so terrible when i have close to if not division 1 level numbers in other stuff. I feel like it doesnt have anything to do with fast twitch muscle fibers, because i performed well on things like the jumps and shuttle. I'm wondering if it may be that i have very strong quads and weak hamstrings? can anyone tell me what you think could be the problem, based on these numbers? greatly appreciate it, because i feel i could play division 1 football with those numbers if i can run a good 40. thank you!4 AnswersFootball (American)8 years ago
I am 18 years old and playing tight end at a junior college right now. I want to get some opinions on what position I should play based on my stats:
40 yd dash: 4.7
225 bench press: 10 reps
20 yd shuttle: 4.3
I have good hands but I just don't know if tight end is the spot for me because I'm not a great blocker. Any suggestions?6 AnswersFootball (American)8 years ago
I am 18 years old. I took 2 cycles of prohormones when I was 17, right before I turned 18. I know it was a dumb idea but I didn't realize it at the time. Now I am taking college anatomy and we're learning about growth and how the increase of testosterone around the age of 20 closes the growth plates. My professor said anabolic steroids can prematurely close the growth plates because the increase testosterone artificially. I didn't take steroids but I know prohormones are about as close as you can get. Did I stunt my growth?2 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years ago
I'm 18 years old, I'm 6'3" and weigh about 227. I lift weights almost every day and run a good amount as i play football for a junior college. I went to get a physical at the doctor today and I did not pass because my blood pressure was high, only the top number. I am very active and not fat at all, very muscular. Last year when I got a physical for high school ball i weighed 195 and my BP was slightly high and the doctor didnt clear me until it was monitered for a few weeks. Since then I have taken 2 cycles of prohormones which i know is stupid and probably affected it, but i had high bp even before that. I eat mostly frozen food or pizza, but i work out a ton if that makes any difference. what could be causing this? I am also a regular user of marijuana about every 2-3 days. What is causing this and how can i reduce it so i can play ball?3 AnswersHeart Diseases8 years ago
I was driving home late last night and I got pulled over because my tags are about a month expired. I showed him my form that shows I have some time to get them because my car didn't pass emissions. He came back and I heard over his radio that the only history on my lisence plate was something about a gun because me n my friend were out shooting in the desert and we did not know it was an unauthorized area, and the cops came and just told us to leave. So he asked if I had guns alcohol or drugs in the car and I said no. Then he asked to search my car and I said ok. Even if I say ok is he allowed to ask me to search without probable cause? My car did not smell, I was being cooperative, and respectful. The only reason I can think of is the gun thing?11 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police8 years ago
I pulled my hamstring about 6 months ago. I was sprinting full speed, felt a pop just above the back of my knee, and then severe tightness and pain in my hamstring. I did nothing for about 3 weeks to let it heal. I felt better so I tried running again and did the same thing. I did absolutely no running or leg exercises for about 4 months. I finally began to ease back into jogging. I felt a strange sensation in the injured hamstring, so I went to 8 physical therapy sessions. I just finished up with the therapy. They told me I need to try sprinting full speed to see where I'm at, and that its been long enough so ot should be fine. I sprinted 90% and had a strange sensation in the injured muscle. It feels as though if I push any harder or run any faster it will surely tear. The injury is on the outside hamstring tendon just above the back of my knee about 4 or 5 inches. What is this sensation that makes me feel like its going to snap? How can I get rid of it?2 AnswersRunning8 years ago
I boxed my friend a few hours ago just for some friendly competition. He has cystic fibrosis as well as a seizure disorder. I connected with a couple of hard punches. He fell down and tried to get back up but just stumbled around for a few seconds and fell back down. We stopped and he seemed to be fine after sitting down for a few minutes, but I am really worried. I know I shouldn't have boxed someone who has seizures but I wasn't even thinking. Is this going to effect his health?1 AnswerOther - Health8 years ago
I have a single 12in polk audio subwoofer in a ported box with an 1100w max amp. My friend has two 12in sony xplodes in a sealed box with an 800w max amp. how does my single woofer pound harder than his 2 woofers?
I have a 12 inch polk audio subwoofer in a ported box with an 1100w maxx Crunch amp. It hits hard on some songs but i just want more. I tried turning the gain up to alost all the way and the bass EQ up about half way. This made somewhat of a difference but how can i get my **** to bang? I want the type of boomy bass that you can hear from a distance, is that even possible with this setup and correct tuning?
I bought a 12 inch pioneer subwoofer in a ported box from a good friend of mine. I took it to a Fry's Electronics for installation and they told me that my amp was not powerful enough to push the sub. I went back the next day with a new and more powerful amp. Then they told me my sub is supposed to be at 4 ohms and it is only at 1 which means it is on its last leg. They told me i needed a new sub so i ended up spending about $180 more than i had expected. Can a sub lose ohms or did i just get tricked into spending a shitload of money?
