I think I know everything so ask if you want answers and don't care if the answer is correct but care if it sounds right.

  • x^3 + x^2 + x + 1 = 0?

I am wondering if this can be solved using some form of the quadratic equation.

    I know of the solutions is x = -1

this is my own equation with a known solution ... but I am wondering if there is a method for solving equations in this form, which would be ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d = 0

    I know there is a quadratic format in the equation ... x(x^2 + x + 1) + 1 = 0

but all I get is solutions that include x and I don't know how to solve for x.

I will keep at and and see if I can come up with something.

    thanks for your help.

this is not for school ... this is just my own studying on my own for no reason other than I want to be able to solve it.

  • why do people come on here trying to get us to do their math homework for them?

seriously people, though I like the math challenges and I like when I know the answer and can show someone how to solve an equation, their teacher and their textbook also shows them how to do it ... I think people should buy the textbooks before they need them and teach themselves math so that they don't have to come on here and get us to do their homework for them.

  • why do people come on here asking medical questions instead of going to the hospital and asking a doctor?

all the time I read questions about serious things. if someone thinks they are gonna die in 5 minutes if they feel that bad, this is the last place they need to be. they should go to the emergency room and tell a doctor how they feel and ask them about it. I just wanna know why people ask the wrong people all the time their questions.

  • Why does yahoo answers not allow feedback threads when answering questions?

we need to be able to comment on posts on answers so the person that asks the question can dialog with people and come to conclusions instead of just reading everyone's answers.

I see the lots illogical, subjective answers to questions sometimes and often times I go back and edit my answer based on the other answers I see.

  • Will the future more be determined by people alive in 2007 or more by those who will be alive in 2057?

I'm looking for any year or range of years for the answer to this question - I'm not looking for answers that involve phrases like "in 50 years", but phrases which detail exact years and ranges in the future. I'm looking for a scale of what people think about whether the future will be more influenced by people alive today or by the next generation - I'm looking for numbers according to what people think, feel and believe - I would be more inclined to spend more time processing answers which are backed by the Scientific Method [for more info on: "Scientific Method" a yahoo search should yield a nice outined explanation of the procedures thereof] so (if you can) please try to include research links to back up your answers - thank you, so much, for the time you have taken to read so far; I have only one thing left to say: I do accept e-mail at this time, as long as in the subject line you include all the following from my key-word list : yahoo question 2007 2057 range future influence
