• Are there any knee pads that won't slide off when I fall forward?

I recently took a bad fall from my rollerblades and when I slid forward on the concrete my knee pads, which are a bit big on me, slid right down my leg and my knees were scraped. So I tried clamping the strap tighter so they grabbed my legs tightly, and I made a little mock fall and they slid right down my legs like hot butter. What can I do to... show more

  • What do you call it when you give the just of a quote?

Say you're talking with someone and you want to sum up what another person said to you or wrote in the paper. You don't want to (or can't) repeat it back word for word, but it is much like the quote itself. I'm looking for a word or phrase that's like a synonym to "In summary" or "in brief."

  • Is water floating on the top of canned soup a sign of spoilage?

I've seen this a couple times. Once the can had mold inside. Another time it didn't have a visible problem but it hissed loudly. I'd like to know if this, in itself, is a sign of spoilage: a clear liquid (not normally seen in the product) separated and floating at the top in a can.

I recently was tricked into downloading a Claro search tool which I uninstalled, then checked my computer thoroughly with Norton and Malwarebytes (both finding nothing) and finally reinstalled Firefox (only keeping the old bookmarks and password information), but the oddity persists. Is this just normal, or am I having some kind of problem here?
