  • Working at the beach over the summer? (Rehoboth, Ocean City, Bethany area)?

A friend and I are considering working at the beach next summer, but we really have no idea to go about it. Has anyone ever done this before? We want to work at preferably Rehoboth or Bethany Beach, but if anyone has worked at any beach in that area and has any advice on how to get started with this process that would be great! How would we go about finding temporary housing, etc.? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

  • I'm a straight girl, my crush just came out to me?

I've been head over heels for the same guy for the past two years. He's one of my best friends, and he's been a huge part of my life for the past three years. Long story short, he just came out to me. Because we're such good friends, it's not like I can exactly forget him or anything like that. So I guess my question is, how do I even begin to deal with this?

  • Jobs at Non-Profit Organizations?

I would like to have a career working at a non-profit organization, but there are a couple of things that I'm unsure about. First of all, I'd like to work at a non-profit organization involving either animalsothe environment, cancer research, or supporting third world countries. I'd also like to be able to travel (as in, internationally), if possible. What are some possible careers in non-profit work that fit those qualifications?

Second of all, what should I major in for these careers?

    Thanks!

  • Characters with style like Beth from John Tucker Must Die?

I absolutely love the character Beth's style in the movie John Tucker Must Die, and I was wondering if anyone could think of movie characters in another movie with a similar style (you know, the bohemian, hippie type of style)? Thanks!

  • Companies that DO test on animals?

I've been looking for a list of companies that test on animals, but I can't seem to find the specifics of what I want. Most of the lists I have found are broken down by larger companies such as Proctor & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson, but I'm looking for a list broken down by smaller subsets such as Neutrogena or Herbal Essences. (The reason I'm looking for such a list is because some parent companies do test on animals while smaller subsets don't).

Sorry if this is confusing, but any help would be appreciated!!!!

  • Movies about candy or sweets?

I'm thinking of having a Candyland themed party, and I plan on showing movies that fit in with the theme. Other than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, what are some movies at least involving an emphasis on candy, if not a theme? Thanks!

  • Bradley Cooper's character in Failure to Launch?

So I just watched Failure to launch last night, and I found Bradley Cooper's character very interesting. I was just wondering, when he was saying that we just need to accept that we are a part of nature and then nature will accept us, and he got the monkey and chipmunk to go right up to him, does anyone think that's true? I wasn't sure if it could be plausible, that would be awesome if it was.

  • The right college for me?

Okay, so I'm a junior in high school right now, and I really need to get started thinking about colleges. I just recently figured out what I want to do after college, so I'm trying to make more decisions now.

I'm thinking I want to apply to Penn State, NYU, University of Virginia, and University of Pittsburgh, but other than that, I'm honestly not sure. After college, I want to work at a non-profit organization.

So I basically have two questions. Number one, based on my statistics I'm about to list below, do you think I have a good chance of getting into those four schools? Also, what are some suggestions for majors I could go for, and any suggestions on schools that would seem a good fit?

    Statistics:

    GPA (unweighted): 3.56

    GPA (weighted): 4+

SAT Score (taken it once, just got my scores back) : 2030

    Reading: 650

    Math: 620

    Writing: 760

I'm planning on taking 2 SAT Subject tests next year, and I'm also planning on retaking the SAT in June, I was sick when I took it the first time so I'm hoping to up my score.

Here are the classes/activities I've been involved in:

    Freshman Year:

    Honors Geography

    Honors Geometry

    Honors English

College Prep (2nd highest level) Earth and Space Science

    Foundations of Art

Personal Development (a home ec type thing, waste of time)

    Volunteen (volunteer club)

    Sophomore Year:

    Honors Algebra II

    Honors World Literature

    AP World History

    Honors Biology

    Basic Photography

    Pottery I

    Volunteen

MiniTHON Planning Committee (raises money for kids with cancer)

    NEHS

    National Spanish Honor Society

    Junior Year:

    Honors Analysis

    Honors Chemistry

    AP US History

    AP Language and Composition

    AP Psychology

    Photo II

    Volunteen

    MiniTHON Planning Committee

    NEHS

    National Spanish Honor Society

    Student Council

    Plan for Senior Year:

    Honors Physics

    AP Calculus

    AP Government

    AP Literature

    Independent Photography

    Pottery II

    Volunteen

    MiniTHON Planning Committee

    NEHS

    National Spanish Honor Society

Volunteering at the local hospital, and a non-profit organization office

Employment (I'm hoping at a vet or a coffee place)

Thanks so much for any and all input!

  • Wardrobe pictures from the movie Music and Lyrics?

Where can I find a bunch of pictures of Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore)'s outfits from the movie Music and Lyrics? I am especially looking for pictures of the outfit she wears to the concert at the end and the outfit she wears the first time she goes to water Hugh Grant's character's plants.

  • Comcast Email Access Help?

Okay, so about a month ago, my computer completely crashed, ruining all of my hard drive. I sent the hard drive out to be salvaged, but the company just called and said they couldn't salvage a single thing from it. Anyways, some of the documents I need are in old emails, but I cannot access any Comcast emails prior to January 20th, 2010! How can I access these old emails to get my important documents?

Please help, it's really important for school. Thanks in advance for answering.

  • Liking a close friend's older brother?

Yes, I am aware that this question has nothing to do with fashion or accessories, but let's face it, this is the only section in which people ever answer. So I apologize.

Anyways, I'm sure this is a fairly common occurrence, not to mention totally cliche, but I've fallen for my close friend's older brother. I've only known him for about a year, and started liking him six months ago. Here's the thing: I'd like to get to know him better, but there are several other factors involved. First of all, the most glaring problem, which is the fact that he is my friend's brother. Second of all, one of my other friends has shown interest in him (although in this case, it is not the interest that concerns me but my friend's reaction to the other friend's interest. While it should be noted that these two friends have not been getting along well lately, the reaction was horrible). Thirdly, my friend always talks about how her brother is "destined" to be with this platonic friend of his, and although the two are just friends, I can't help wondering if my friend's theory has any merit. The final issue, although the last of my concerns, is that there is a rather large age difference between her brother and I (3 and a half years). He is a sophomore in college and I only a junior in high school.

So my question is, what should I do about this? I've already attempted to bury my feelings, but that was about 3 months ago and they have yet to disappear. Any answers are appreciated.

  • Vintage/Thrift Stores in Manhattan?

I'm going to New York City with my mom and two friends from Friday to Sunday, and I don't have much money to spend so I'm looking to find some bargains. I love thrift stores and vintage stores, so I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for what stores to hit. And when I say cheap, I mean like under $10 per item... but please don't suggest Goodwill or Salvation Army, as my friends won't go there.

Oh, in case you needed to know, the hotel I'm staying at is on 155 E. 50th Street. But I'm up for subway rides, so as long as the stores are in New York City, I'm good.

  • Starbucks Teen Employment?

I am a sixteen year old and I'm looking for my first job... I really want to get a job at Starbucks. I know that the website says you only have to be sixteen, but I've heard there are different hiring ages in different states. How old do you have to be to work at a Starbucks in Pennsylvania?

Also, what is the job that a sixteen year old can have, like the "official" title... I've been trying to apply for a job online but I don't know which job title is the one I'm looking for. Also, how old do you generally need to be a barista... is that the most entry level job? If not, what is? Any answers are greatly appreciated.
