So this Friday I have to go to a family wedding my boss didn't let me off for. The wedding is at 3:30pm and the reception is at 5:30pm.
This is the catch. My job is at FedEx and I work from 3-8am Tues-Sat.
On Friday, I have to be up by 2:45am, finish work by 8am, and I have to be at the ceremony preferably a half-hour early by 3:00pm. After the reception, I have to be back home by 2:30am Saturday morning to work again until 8. Keep in mind the wedding will be an hour and a half drive from my house.2 AnswersOther - Health5 years ago
The problem: A study has a random sample of 30 subjects. The test statistic for testing H (0): u = 50 is t=2.45. Fine the p-values for the following alternative hypotheses.
I have the P-values for:
H(a): u =/= 50 = .020
H(a): u > 50 = .010
But I do not know how to get the p-value for H(a): u < 50. What do I do and how do I get the answer?1 AnswerMathematics5 years ago
I'm a high preforming college student and I would like to get some adderall to help deal with some problems I am facing.
When I was 4, I was diagnosed with ADHD by professionals, but my mom thought they were just being ridiculous so I never got treatment for it.
Now I am in college and though I have been getting good grades, they are starting to take a hit now. I am feeling overwhelmingly tired, physically, but not mentally. I always feel like I am "on edge" which has led me to develop social anxiety. It is affecting me in a very negative way, and even some of my friends are concerned about me.
Would I be able to get adderall from the school clinic, or would I have to go to a regular doctor?2 AnswersMental Health6 years ago
I m a sophomore guy in college and she s a junior girl. We were lab partners in chemistry this semester and became good friends. Recently, she texted me that she was upset over problems with her boyfriend. She tells me that she isn t sexually attracted to him anymore and that he "grosses" her out (exact words) when he does anything sexual with her. She calls herself a "shallow person" because she can have a relationship with someone whom she doesn t really care about, but is sexually attracted to. She then said she is afraid of breaking up with him because they are good friends and thinks he is a nice guy but just "doesn t understand" her.
What does this mean when she s telling me this? Full disclosure: I think she s amazing and lovely, and I m single.1 AnswerSingles & Dating6 years ago
I don't know how to cite sources when I am trying to do an in-text citation of an internet source, such as the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times.
For example, if I paraphrase something a New York Times article said, would I put (NYT) in parenthesis or the names of the authors. If I did a direct quotation, would I have to do the same thing?
I am very confused and would appreciate any advice..2 AnswersHomework Help6 years ago
Because 2 alpha decay cycles means -8 from mass number and -4 from protons, so wouldn t the new mass number be 224 and proton number be 86 because Thorium has a mass of 232 and a proton count of 90?
There is no element on the periodic table with those numbers. The closest thing is Radon 222/862 AnswersChemistry6 years ago
So I'm a dude who lives with another dude and 2 girls. 1 of the girls is sort of a "social activist" and last week she got into a huge argument with me over something politically personal and insulted me. She doesn't want to apologize. It has now officially been a whole entire week of (literally) not even saying a word to each other.
Should I just keep this up? What are the positives and negatives if I do or don't?2 AnswersFriends6 years ago

I'm a sophomore in college and she's a senior in high school. When I was still in school with her, we would talk for hours multiple times a week. Now that I've gone off to college, during the school year, we skype about once a month for several hours. The part that worries me is that sometimes we will go 2-3 months without a conversation. Is this normal for friends who are close? What can I do to change it? I'm worried that our friendship is fading for unexplained reasons.3 AnswersFriends6 years ago
I'm a 20 year old guy and I will be a sophomore in college this fall. I am friends with this girl who is 18 and she will be a freshman in college during the fall. We've known each other since middle school, but we didn't really become good friends until my junior year of high school. The only thing that confuses me is that we never talked while I was away at college - (is that normal for friends?). Anyways, she is a really fun person and knows how to carry on a conversation very well; she also takes interest in the things I do. I can tell she flirts with me a lot - including casual physical contact here and there and friendly competition during work.
Bottom line: I value our friendship and I'm gonna miss her when we both leave in the fall. What should I do? Are the signs I listed above just a sign of a good friend or something more?1 AnswerFriends6 years ago
I'm gonna be starting my sophomore year of college already this upcoming fall. I fell in love with this really sweet sophomore girl during my senior year of high school, but her parents wouldn't let us date because I was an adult and she wasn't. We remained friends, but I promised myself I would try to move on.
This semester, I met and became close with two really awesome girls. I found out one of them already had a boyfriend, but the other one recently started dating someone about a couples months ago. I could have made a move on her, but I didn't want to risk getting rejected because I didn't know her that well at the time.
I am starting to feel like everyone I develop feelings for is either currently unavailable or is already taken. I know it sounds like I am desperate, but am I going to be alone forever? I'm in no rush to get a girlfriend, but it's frustrating when you aren't able to date someone even though you fancy them. I am very outgoing and I don't have confidence issues. My friends could view me as the last person they would think as having self-esteem issues, but I do a very good job of hiding it. I just don't think I'm worth anything if I can't find my partner in crime. What should I do?2 AnswersSingles & Dating6 years ago
I'm a freshman in college, and for the first time in my life, I started a lifting/workout routine in mid January. I had never done bench press, deadlifts, or anything else like that until January rolled around. When I first started benching, I could barely do 65 lbs. Now it's May, and I can bench 125 lbs.
I'm sure I can max more, but that's not my problem. What my problem is, is that I have been stuck at 125 for the past 3 weeks. This is how I build up to it, as I do 5 sets of 10 reps total (with the 5th set being the drop set):
Set 1:10 reps of 15's.
Set 2: 10 reps of 25's.
Set 3: 10 reps of 35's.
Set 4: 6-10 reps of 40's.
Set 5: 10 reps of 30's.
For the past three weeks, I have been stuck at 6 reps of 40s. For the life of me, I cannot get past that many reps without a lot of help. I'm just too tired. What should I do? I want to eventually bench my own weight (155), but I can't if I'm just getting stuck at this weight and don't know how to move up. I always take protein immediately after a workout, and I work out each specific parts of the body once a week (Monday=Chest/Triceps, Tuesday=Legs, Wednesday=Cardio, Thursday=Shoulders, Friday=Biceps/Triceps, and Saturday/Sunday=Rest).
What am I doing wrong?

I am currently a freshman. I finished Fall 2013 with a 3.8 and I'm going to finish Spring 2014 with a 4.0. By the time I finish the Spring 2015 semester, I will have achieved the 60-credit threshold that makes me eligible to transfer without my high-school GPA and ACT coming into play. I only scored a 22 on the ACT and my high school GPA was a 3.54. I have over 200 volunteer hours, play rec sports, and I work part-time 20 hours a week during the school year. I also made Dean's List for Fall 2013 and will most likely make it again for Spring 2014.
Bottom line: If I were to fill out an application to University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, University of Wisconsin - Madison, University of Miami, and Arizona State University, would I have a good chance of being accepted?1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)6 years ago
I'm writing a research paper regarding specific sex-linked genetic disorders and diseases that are passed down from generation to generation within the X and Y chromosomes.
Does anybody know of any good scientific articles or websites where I could find out more about this?1 AnswerBiology6 years ago
I have to write a research paper for my human genetics class regarding the X and Y sex chromosomes and how the characteristics that are present within the strands of DNA that they carry are passed on to the next generation and what types of diseases and disorders can be transferred in the process.1 AnswerBiology6 years ago
