  • Looking for some fantasy/sci-fi books.?

    Looking for some fantasy/sci-fi books.

I've recently had a huge family tragedy, so I am looking for books that are on the light/young/funny side.

I started reading authors like King, Straub, Rice, Laymon, etc. around the age of 8. Now I'm trying to back track to things I SHOULD have been reading when I was younger.

(By the way, if you've never read/heard of Richard Laymon, STAY AWAY. He takes sick horror to a whole new level)

    My favorite series

    Myth Adventures - Robert Asprin

    Demon Trilogy - Peter Brett

    Green Rider - Kristen Britain

    *Dresden Files - Jim Butcher

Seven Realms - Cinda William Chima

    Artemis Fowl - Eoin Colfer

    *Wardstone Chronicles - Joseph Delaney

The Wayfarer Redemption - Sara Douglass

    *Ranger Apprentice - John Flanagan

    Sookie Stackhouse - Charlaine Harris

    Inheritance - Christopher Paolini

    *Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling

Authors I've read/already know about - Piers Anthony, Neil Gaiman, David B. Coe, Bernard Cornwell, C.S. Friedman, Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, Laurell K. Hamilton, Mercedes Lackey, Gregory Maguire, Phillip Pullman, Angie Sage, Christopher Stasheff, Mary Stewart, J.R.R. Tolkien
