  • How do you end a hanfasting ceremony? Is the binding cut or simply untied?

My fiance and I are giving a nod to his Irish heritage by incorporating a celtic handfasting ritual in our wedding. I've been able to find lots of information on what is said and what the procedure for tying is but haven't found a single article that says what to do after.... If it's bad luck to cut the cord or to untie it? Just want to make sure we aren't going to jinx ourselves...

  • DJ's and copyright laws?

I am currently working on starting a DJ service. I was wondering if there are any good books or website that outline use of music and copyright laws in this capacity? Is it just that as long as we paid for the CD or music file, the music is ours to use how we like as long as we're not selling the cds or copies of the music ourselves?

  • Do any brand rechargeable double A batteries work in my olympus charger?

I have an Olympus charger that takes Double A NiH3 batteries. If I buy duracell ones or whatever, will they charge?

Only asking because they're cheaper and I'm a brokeass college student who looses her batteries too frequently to keep spending $25 on four of the Olympus ones...

  • Are there any video games that actually say game over when your character dies?

I'm working on a project and need a "Game Over" voice sound effect, there are tons with noises but none with the words. I can't seem to find any that actually say game over. Any help? (Also if there's a youtube link to it or something like that I'd be eternally grateful)

  • Where can I find an inexpensive but not cheap looking diploma frame?

I was hoping to get one with my school seal, but so far the only ones that I can find that look really nice are pretty pricey (the best one that wasn't over $100 was still $97 something....). I graduate in May and would like to frame my diploma for the wall in the office I'll hopefully have someday, but at this rate, I can't find one that won't break my budget...

  • Will a converter box get more channels than my antenna?

I live in a valley and don't want to pay for cable. I currently get two channels with rabbit ears. Will I get more channels if I buy the new digital converter box, or will I get a few more channels (I know I won't get as many as with cable)?

  • how long before cheerios get stale if they're in a plastic baggie (ziploc)....?

I'm making rice krispies style bars but with cheerios and I need them for a production in two weeks but won't have much time to make them (last possible day I could do it is probably Sunday the week I need them, for Friday Saturday, Sunday). But I'm afraid they'll go stale. I was gonna put them in big ziploc baggies and get the air out but I'm not sure how long they'll last...

  • What is a good, inexpensive yarn for crocheting sweaters?

I like the feel of baby yarn but don't want pastels. Standard colors in a good feeling, not too pricy yarn would be great

  • why can't students get a stimulus check?

I don't understand how parents can claim their children as a dependent when the child pays for everything themselves. As a working college student who pays my own way it seems completely unfair that I don't get a stimulus check when I've worked really hard and gotten no help along the way... (And to top it off, I got a notification letter saying I was getting one and when I checked online, apparently I'm not)

  • how do i convince my boyfriend we need to wait to get a puppy?

So we live together and have for about 2 years now, but we're still in college and involved in theatre (and spend very little time at our tiny apartment). He wants to get a puppy and I don't think we have enough time or room (we don't have a porch, yard or more than 2 rooms). We're ready to take care of something together but we don't have enough time or space for a pet bigger than our fish... what do I say to convince him of this? (and I'm not going to pull that ultimatum ****)

  • Favorite Poems?

I'm doing a project on Edna St. Vincent Millay and because she's written so much I can't really read it all before the project. The titles of some of her best poems would be appreciated as a jumping off point for my project : )

  • Tattoo...?

Why are you looking for questions about tattoos if you don't like them? If someone's asking a legitimate question about getting a tattoo they don't want to hear your BS propoganda. Get over the fact that people are different from you and have different beliefs and interests. If you don't like tattoos don't get one and leave the rest of us alone!

  • Is there anyway to retrieve a sent e-mail if you didn't click "save a copy in my sent folder"?

I recently sent a reply to someone and wanted to save a copy but forgot to click the "save a copy to my sent folder" option. Is there anyway to retrieve this? The help menu for yahoo has been completely useless... maybe this will work
