• Statistics Problem (finding significance between two percentages)?

Ok, so here's my problem. I'm terrible at statistics, but I'm trying to work out a problem nonetheless. I've got a percentage from a huge sample (in the millions) and I want to see if there's a statistical significance between it and a percentage from a much smaller population (only 84 people). How would I go about doing this?... show more

  • I'm looking into buying a new computer...?

I'm looking for a new laptop- something cheap (under 400 dollars would be ideal), reliable, and with decent internet capabilities and average memory. Any suggestions? (and no, I don't want anything by Apple)

How does America justify bombing Syria when Syria has remained neutral throughout the conflict, even taking in a few million Iraqi refugees? Granted, there were claims that Syria "allowed" militants to travel into Iraq, but at the same time Iraqi officials stated that they're wasn't much of a problem anymore with militants coming in from Iran and Syria. Besides, in America, illegal immigrants cross over the border in masses every day- how can America, a country with many times the resources and manpower of the much small Syria- attack Syria for something they can't do themselves? And why did it have to be civilians? Surely a few guys, a woman, and four children weren't a threat to US or Iraqi security...

A Note: I don't care if you give me an answer that I don't like, just give me an answer that answers THIS exact question. Please, no commentary on your PERSONAL feelings abou Messianics. Just answer what I have down. Please.
