I was explaining to a co-worker that we needed to work on a stack of computers, but I said row instead of Stack, in which he said he was confused because rows are only vertical.
I've not really ever thought about this, but can a row be vertical, or is it only horizontal?3 AnswersBasketball2 years ago
I was looking to sell stuff on Ebay, but with a plethora of options for shippings labels and such, I wasnt sure what route to take.
First off should I print the labels off from Ebay's website, or should I print them from another place such as USPS's website?
Also which company should I ship my items with? USPS, FedEx, or UPS?
Any advice would be appreciated.3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance3 years ago
My grilfriend s daughter is 4 and a half years old, and they have always slept together. This means I sleep in my own bed, and the mother sleeps in her daughter s room. I have never been happy about this.
Especially since her daughter sleeps by herself when she is at her dad s house.
Anyways, the mother recently decided its time to teach her to sleep by herself. After three nights, she already seems to have given up and has proclaimed it is too hard, because the daughter just continuously wakes her up and cries.
I will add that I did not ask her to teach her daughter to sleep by herself, but i was happy that she was finally going to. Now I find myself more frustrated than ever that she seems to have already given up11 AnswersParenting4 years ago
I see that A Knight of Seven Kingdoms is a prequel so I was interested in listening to it. Unfortunately ive no read any of the Song of Ice and Fire books because I started watching the show first, and didnt want to ruin the show by reading the books which will surely be even better than the show Game of Thrones. So how about A Knight of Seven Kingdoms? Would I be able to enjoy it as a stand Alone title?4 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years ago
A student must leave for campus in 10 minutes or he will be late for class. Unfortunately, he is snowed in. He can shovel the driveway in 20 minutes, and his brother claims he can do it in 12 minutes. If they shovel together how long will it take to clear the driveway? Will this give enough time for the students to get to campus?3 AnswersMathematics5 years ago
I've been having a problem deciding which calculator I want to get. I will be taking Algebra this semester and wanted to get the TI-89 as people said its more accurate, however people said TI-84 is easier to use because instructions are based off that.
So I have to ask, if I get the TI-89 will it be easier to get the answers once I have learned to use it? Is there good instructions for the TI-89 that will help me figure it out quickly?
I have been trying to figure out how to create buttons for a header of the website and noticed that the Magnifying glass, dropdown boxx with lines, mail letter, as well as a few others are very common. I was curious if these are premade buttons, or if i need a specific software to make them myself?3 AnswersProgramming & Design5 years ago
I was wanting some recommendations on some books to read but Im having a hard time making my next choice. Here is a list of books that I have really enjoyed recently.
Kingkiller Chronicles - By far my favorite. Waiting for Book 3.
Ender's Game - Only read book one but I've heard mixed reactions for Book 2.
The Martian - Simply put, loved it. I worried it would be a boring book, but it was the complete opposite as I was always wondering how is he going to pull this off.
I am Legend - Was an ok book. Nothing amazing, and nothing bad either.
Hitchhikers Guide of the Galaxy - For as much as this book is praised, i hated it. Did not finish
2001 Space Odyssey - Yet another book i did not enjoy regardless of the praise3 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years ago

First off let me explain a little bit of the story before hand. It all started with facebook about a month ago when i met this girl on there. She seemed intelligent and she was very pretty so I tried talking to her. The thing was I never could truly have had a legit conversation with her because she never seemed to talk about anything at all. just boring stuff really. I thought maybe it was just because it was texting and not physical conversations. She ended up asking me out so she must have been interested in me at least so I thought I'd give it a try. She wanted to go see a movie so that is what we did (which you should never do on a first date btw :P)
So when we met she once again would not talk. It was very obvious that things was not going well but i still tried to at least to get her to say anything at all but from the very first 5 minutes her body language was just off and she refused to say anything. Ive went out with a lot of girls over the years and never have I been so baffled by this. I could not show my personality or anything because the way she was acting and reacting. So that was the one and only time we went out.
I thought maybe she was just shy so I messaged her a few days ago and she seemed happy about that saying hii :) to which I responded "How've you been loser ;P" I'm obviously joking of course and I thought she knew this and was joking back. She told me how she had been etc and said dead as in the joke. To where i responded it cant be dead if it is true :P Once again im obviously joking. Our conversation continue and I thought she was joking around with me having fun. It would be the first time i actually got her to lighten up if this was the case. I sent her a video of an animal because she loves animals but then she responded with a very pissed off comment because I was playing around with her about the loser jokes previously.
"Only a loser would use such language to make themselves feel superior. Your personality isn't attractive, the least bit. It's annoying. I thought I was talking to an adult. Not an immature adolescent. I'm not trying to insult you, but your repetitive "loser" comments just reflect badly on yourself; especially since I'm so well educated and successful for my age. Without a doubt, I do have a good sense of humor, but the only humorous aspect of this current conversation, is your lack of indecency. Or rather, your palpable indecency."
So with all that said am I actually wrong? I have never had a problem with this before with anybody so it has been bugging me since this is the first time anybody has ever attacked my personality. Especially when I thought it was very obvious that I playing with her. I never intended on her taking it seriously. Also since she barely knows me and I have never even had a legit conversation with her I just marked it as very judgmental, especially when I am in fact very intelligent (she just never allowed for such conversations) but maybe I need more opinions on this.
I also want to say I've always joked around with people to lighten the mood so this is a problem if i am truly wrong about this.2 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years ago
