No visible screwholes in the butt pad & I don't want to pry & possibly mar the stock. The stock is just a tad too long for my taste so I'm thinking the removal of the stock "honeycomb" pad & the installation of a standard plate might be a good solution. Help, Pheasant season is coming & I'd like to try this sweetheart out.3 AnswersHunting6 years ago
That's pretty much the gist of it-I'm dealing on a new MC & trying to determine how much "wiggle room" the dealer has. A friend in the business indicates that the markup on add-ons is 200-300 % but I haven't been able to determine what the markup on the base price is. I know everyone has to make a profit but it doesn't have to be all from me.2 AnswersMotorcycles7 years ago

Driving from Chicago to Martinsville - Do you know of any interesting sights, short side trips on the way?
Making the trip with 3 friends, all male. No rush, we're going to a Nascar race & we have plenty of time to sight see- first trip to that part of the country for all of us so we plan on "touring"1 AnswerChicago8 years ago
I buy a lot of rough cut lumber from local sources, I have a delta planer but when gluing up panels I could use a panel sander. All i've seen so far are made for commercial applications (cabinet makers & such) way beyond a DIY budget. I saw one years ago that used the table saw as a power source but I think it was homemade or maybe a kit? Thanks in advance for your assistance2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years ago
I recently had Key Lime pie at a local diner, (I asked, they don't share the recipes) It was thin, less than 1/2 inch & had the appearance of stained glass. You could actually see the crust thru the filling. Any one have a similar recipe? It was the best I've ever had!2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years ago
I have recently came into possession of a set of "pocket blockers" (I'm at a loss as to what they are called) IE 6 cast iron & rubber devices which fill the pockets on a regular table to convert it to a carom or billiards table. Basically, they are a K66 style rubber attached to a cast iron device which clamps into the pocket using a hook over the pocket iron & a tensioning device which pull them tight into the pocket. I want to know what they are properly called & any history you know or a reference to antique equipment of this type1 AnswerSnooker & Pool10 years ago
I have inherited some Minton ? plates which have wildlife scenes on them. The edge is mossy green with a gold filagree. Can any one give me the pattern name or number? Did Minton ever use a mark with the first "n" upside down? Makes it look like "Miuton" maybe some type of knock off? These dishes are quite old as my grandmother had them back in the 40's-50's2 AnswersOther - Arts & Humanities1 decade ago
2000 Honda Shadow ACE 750, Turn signals take a long time to come on, sometimes as long as 60 seconds. When they do finally kick in everything is fine. Turn them off & back on, the delay is still there. Bulbs are OK, voltage is within normal range, sockets cleaned of corrosion, (none found) bulbs reinstalled with NoOx. Both front & back, left & right have the same problem. My first thought is the flasher unit but I want to know for sure as Honda wants $$$ for a new one. I've never seen a flasher fail in this manner b4. They normally work 100% or nothing. Suggestions? & Thanx4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade ago
Such as "Memorial Arms" hotel etc. A friend suggested that it is an acronym for Apartments & Rooms with Maid Service but I have exhausted my resources in trying to locate a definitive answer.3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade ago

I've been invited to a "fly in" fishing trip to Knox Lake out of Red Lake Ontario. First trip to Canada. Any pertinent advice is welcome. Trip is scheduled 5 Sept.
Baits? Gear? Methods? I would especially like an "anglers map" for the lake if anyone has one to share. I've searched o/l, only found topo & sat images. Nothing re the lake itself.2 AnswersFishing1 decade ago

Two young men joined a traveling circus shortly after the Civil war. The series chronicled their travels in the American west & then a tour of Europe. One of the young men became the ringmaster the other a strong man. The Circus owner was a Mason & used his Masonic connections often during the trials & tribulations experienced by the troupe.5 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade ago
Father died, cleaning up the estate. Packed away in the back of the garage was a Wizard outboard. WO (D) ? 4S Ser # 209914 It seems to be in good shape. Engine not seized, turns over with compression. Prop is in good shape. No large dings or scratches. I plan on offering it for sale but have no idea of what a fair value is. Can you help?2 AnswersBoats & Boating1 decade ago
I'm in the process of building a rolltop desk from scratch all going well except where does the tambor go.?
when the tambor is raised where does it go, I'm building from pictures so it doesn't really show. Is there a void behind the pigeon holes for it to drop into? Does it roll into the upper area, drop straight down behind the desk? Thanks in advance for your info.4 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade ago
