I'm getting married in just over a year. I'm using the date as a time frame to get in shape. I have no problem with dieting and working out. But I know nutrition is 75% of it. So my question is, what advice can someone with knowledge give about daily eating habits.
I'm 27, 6'0', 190lbs. On the positive side, I take vitamins (multi, C, calcium, magnesium, fish oil, wheat grass), eat at least 2 servings of dark green vegetables and 4-5 of fruit per day. I drink lots of water, try to change up my meals, and don't eat junk/fast/fried food. I do pushups and pullups daily. I surf at least twice a week and try to run for 20 minutes twice a week. I don’t consider myself stressed.
On the negative side, I work 60 hours a week, but it's 100% standing up. Yet, I drink 3 drinks(min) and smoke mary jane every night. I love carbs (prob what keeps me overweight), and eat them at most meals. My sleeping habits are irregular, and minimal, and I have 2 coffee's(min) a day.
I most likely will not be changing the above habits (sorry preachers), other than increasing my physical activity and trying to eat smaller amounts more regularly to boost metabolism. I’m not interested in diet pills (sorry spammers). That stated, what more can I do on a daily basis that can help this next year with my nutritional intake. Thanks for your input.
