• Personal Loan vs. Auto Loan?

I need a new car, and need a loan for at least 10k of it. I don't want my payments to be over $200 a month, and I don't want the term to be any more than 5 years, with no pre-payment penalty. The interest rate doesn't matter to me, just the monthly and the term. Being that my credit is good, I feel this is simple enough, but my problem is that the car I want is a rebuilt classic from the 50's. There are no if's, and's, or but's about this---this is the car I'm getting. The issue is that most banks will only give you an auto loan for cars 15 years old and newer. Thus, do I take a personal loan at a higher interest rate, or is there a bank or credit union anyone knows about that will finance me for a car this old? Or, is there a way to get a personal loan with a similar monthly payments and terms as a car loan? Thank you.

  • Tricks for getting smell out of a wetsuit?

Like the title says, I've got a wetsuit that is fine when it's dry. Once it's wet though and I come in from a session, it reeks like no other. Anyone have a good trick for getting the smell out without harming the suit itself?

  • Registering a Cal vehicle after 10 years?

I'm looking at a car on ebay that hasn't been registered in 10 years. It's a California car, and I also live in California. What cost am I looking at to get it registered and licensed in my name? The CA DMV says something about 160% the yearly fee, but I can't tell if that just means one year, or all 10. Thanks.

With OPEC's inevitable decision to begin selling oil in currency other than U.S. dollars, it is my opinion that this will cause the collapse of our already fledging world market. The stock market may be going up, but it's meaningless with a dollar that is so weak. When Asia comes to cash in their T-bills, and the US dollar is revealed to be based on nothing other than people's faith in it (which is definably true), we will be left with very considerably less stability, prosperity, and power. I know these above statements will inevitably offend, and they are not from that of an economist, simply my own, but they are also not without merit. As I am predicting a large collapse with OPEC's conversion being the nail in the coffin, my question is simple for those that can see the long term as I cannot. Simply put, what can I do to protect my economic future, my welfare, and that of my family? What are investments that a Joe like me can make to get through a coming depression? Thank you

I'm getting married in just over a year. I'm using the date as a time frame to get in shape. I have no problem with dieting and working out. But I know nutrition is 75% of it. So my question is, what advice can someone with knowledge give about daily eating habits. I'm 27, 6'0', 190lbs. On the positive side, I take vitamins (multi, C, calcium, magnesium, fish oil, wheat grass), eat at least 2 servings of dark green vegetables and 4-5 of fruit per day. I drink lots of water, try to change up my meals, and don't eat junk/fast/fried food. I do pushups and pullups daily. I surf at least twice a week and try to run for 20 minutes twice a week. I don’t consider myself stressed. On the negative side, I work 60 hours a week, but it's 100% standing up. Yet, I drink 3 drinks(min) and smoke mary jane every night. I love carbs (prob what keeps me overweight), and eat them at most meals. My sleeping habits are irregular, and minimal, and I have 2 coffee's(min) a day. I most likely will not be changing the above habits (sorry preachers), other than increasing my physical activity and trying to eat smaller amounts more regularly to boost metabolism. I’m not interested in diet pills (sorry spammers). That stated, what more can I do on a daily basis that can help this next year with my nutritional intake. Thanks for your input.

  • Cheap custom picture frames?

Anyone know where I can get picture frames over the internet for $20-40? I have a bunch of randomly sized photos and artwork, and all the standard frames at Michaels, Target, Ikea, Fast Frames, Aaron Bros, etc, don't fit my prints. And to make a custom frame with them is a minimum $80. So, again, anybody know an online frame dealer for cheap?... show more
