  • Verizon line from family account to individual?

    Right now I am part of a family plan. My gf will be dropped from her family plan when she graduates college (same time her contract is up). We are going to get a plan together, however, my contract is up on April 6th. I know I can break off from my parents family plan and then add my gf in later, however I see that VZW now has a "double data" special and I don't want to miss this deal. If I break off into my own plan am I eligible for a new phone too? I also would like to get the best deal for my new phone and it seems like doing that on a 3rd party website would be best (new egg/tiger direct/etc) as the phone on there is about $80 (compared to about $200 in store). Could I just sign up online and have everything be okay? I'd go to a store and talk to someone today, but conditions for driving are not very good and with my car I'd rather not risk it. Any information would be great. Thanks.

  • We'll always be together theme?

    I have some song stuck in my head from a cartoon or other childhood show (maybe?) and all I can remember is the following:

    "We're the _____ ____, we'll always be together.

    Ya, we're the ___ ___, BEST OF FRIENDS FOREVER!"

    I then think it repeats but I can't say for certain. Anyone remember what this was from? Thanks!

  • Would a computer POST if the processor wasn't compatible?

    I came home and realized how many spare computer parts I still had laying around. I tried to throw in a processor from an old Emachine my sister had, in hopes to get a nice desktop for my girlfriend and I. Everything turned on fine, except the computer never outputted anything (video wise). I'm just wondering if the processor wasn't compatible with the motherboard, would it show anything on the screen? I'm trying to rule out if I have a bad video card or something. Last I remember the card ran great. Also, is there any way of telling what Socket a processor is just by looking at it?

  • Help with a few C++ Questions...?

    1. Write a the definition for a function that takes an array of doubles, the array’s size and a

    location (index value) as its three parameters and returns the index of the smallest value in

    array via the location parameter.

    2. Write the definition for a function that takes an array of integers, the size of the array, and

    a key value, as its three formal parameters. Your function then returns true if the product

    of any consecutive pair of elements in the array is equal to the key value, and returns false

    otherwise.

    Example:

    Given the array 2 5 4 7 3 6 of size 6, your function would return true for key

    values of 10, 20 ,28, 21, 18 and return false for all other key values. since

    • 2 * 5 = 10

    • 5 * 4 = 20

    • 4 * 7 = 28

    • 7 * 3 = 21

    • 3 * 6 = 18

    3. Given the following struct definition:

    struct Thing

    {

    int scal;

    double vec[2];

    };

    And array declaration:

    Thing things[2];

    (a) Draw a picture of things.

    (b) Assign the scal component of the first element of things to -1.

    (c) Assign the second element the vec component of the first element of things to 3.14.

    3. Define the proper data structure to represent a rational number, defined as an integer a over

    an integer b.

  • Expected unqualified-id before ‘{' token? C++ help?

    I keep getting the above errors for lines 13, 36 and 49. I also get the error "Expected initializer before "int" " on line 9. I have no clue why it's doing this. I'm sure it's something simple and I'm just overlooking it. Keep in mind the code is NOT done. I just like to compile as I go so I don't end up with TONS of errors in the end.

    #include <cstdlib>

    #include <ctime>

    #include <iostream>

    void welcome ();

    void display_coin(int c);

    int triple(int c1, int c2, int c3, int c4)

    int quad(int c1, int c2, int c3, int c4)

    int main();

    {

    int c1, c2, c3, c4;

    strand(time(NULL));

    c1 = rand () % 2;

    c2 = rand () % 2;

    c3 = rand () % 2;

    c4 = rand () % 2;

    cout << "Your coin throw" << endl;

    display_coin(c1);

    cout << " ";

    display_coin(c2);

    cout << " ";

    display_coin(c3);

    cout << " ";

    display_coin(c4);

    }

    void welcome();

    {

    cout << "Welcome to Coin Toss!" << endl;

    cout << "----------------------" << endl;

    cout << "This game is played by placing a bet and then tossing four coins. The results are as follows: 2 Heads and 2 Tails is a draw; 3 Heads";

    cout << "and you win your bet amount; 4 Heads and you win double your bet; 3 or 4 Tails and you lose your bet. You have $128 to start. Good Luck";

    cout << "and have fun!" << endl;

    cout << "----------------------" << endl;

    }

    void display_coin(int c);

    {

    if (c==1)

    cout << "H";

    else

    cout << "T";

    }

  • Best place to buy an Italian Charm Bracelet and Charms?

    I'm looking to do something really sweet (but corny) for my girlfriend. I want to get her a Charm Bracelet and charms that represent little things in our relationship (Ex: a baseball/bat for one of our dates to a Brewers Baseball game). The problem is, these can be quite expensive as I have seen. Does anyone know the best and cheapest place to buy them? Thanks!

  • I've been using a corrosive product all day without gloves, should I be worried that I could damage my skin?

    I used Easy Off Bam. I thought the product wasn't harmful to skin and went on using it without worry and upon closer inspection a few hrs later, it can cause damage and other such things. And tells me to get "immediate medical attention". Should I be worried?

  • Do you think this was a violation?!?

    So a kid asked if he could have a game code, never answerd me if the game was aquired legally or not, so therefore, it's probably a burned copy...here's the question, and my answer, apparently i got a "violation of TOC" for this answer...

    Question: can ne1 gimme splinter cell chaos theory cd key,i've this cd key, but it aint wrkn. --)?

    Details of Violation: Did you buy it reciently, or did you download/burn it and look for a CDKEY? Sorry but I'm not helping in illegal activites. The game probably cost 30$ tops, go buy it. If you did, go return it and get a new one, just tell them the CDKEY isnt working. -edit- The game is 20$, you'd have to be pretty poor to not be able to afford that...
