  • Are people like Leogirl...?

Bubba B and others cowardly for posting rude, offensive responses, and rank, stereotypic, contentious questions on here regarding politics yet do not have the guts to list an email address where they can be debated with facts? You are not part of the solution. You only compound problems.

Your insults don't faze me, but cowardice is always repulsive.

  • BP closes its Alaska oilfield indefinitely. Coincidence???

Bush illegally invades two middle eastern countries, and threatens Iran and Syria. There is no proof that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. Oil speculators get nervous. The price of crude skyrockets. Chavez closes off oil shipments to US Citgo facilities. Now this Alaska news.

    Clinton: $1.50/gallon

    Bush: $3/gallon and climbing.

It's alomst like a supreme effort is being made to squeeze the US oil consumer for every last penny of profit, like we're being conditioned for something...

Anyone else see a pattern here?

Anyone think the invasion of Iraq was not about oil?

BTW, freeing the oppressed civilians of Iraq was a result of our invasion, not a reason given before we did it.

Civil remarks with facts and cites appreciated.

  • What's up with "My baby's daddy?"?

Okay, I admit it. I'm probably older than half the posters here or more, but what is going on with all these females having one or more kids without insisting the "father" marry them? Are these/you gals raising a family for one guy but wanting to play the field? Are guys just up front and saying, "If you get pregnant, that's your tough luck?" Do these girls (and many of them are girls) so lack self esteem that they think the only way they can get a guy to pay them attention is to screw them, regardless of the consequence?

Now please don't misunderstand. I am not passing judgment. If that's the way it is, that's the way it is. It just seems like an incredible double standard here that the mom is tied down raising Exhibits A and B whild "dad" is free to go out and fool around with multiple other gals.

Sooooooooo, what am I missing? What does the mother get out of this arrangement?

  • Attorneys: How to establish a practice in immigration?

In particular, representing Chinese. I am fluent in Mandarin. My Chinese friends have urged me to consider immigration law. I have been doing taxes for years and am thinking about switching. What groundwork or basics should one follow? Does one need to live/work in a huge city? Is there any money in it?

    Sincere advice appreciated, thanks.

  • Are there any jobs in IT? Serious replies only.?

X has two associate degrees, a high GPA, and experience in IT from several temp jobs and internships. She wants a career in Helpdesk and/or database management. She is 47 years old, has had a number of interviews, yet over almost 3 years, has been unable to get a real job offer with benefits, etc.

    Age discrimination?

    Needs further degree work?

Simply no jobs in this field (too much competition/outsourcing/etc)?

Any advice for X? Serious replies only, please.

  • Who Loves John Carpenter's "The Thing?"?

Toward the end of the film, when the creature inside of Blair (Brimley) infests Garry (Moffat), what does he say as he is doing so? I have watched this several times and cannot seem to make it out.

Also, don't you agree that a sequel is long overdue?

  • Can you help my puppy's itching problem?

He's 1/2 Husky, 1/2 Lab, 100% Sweetie. He is biting himself so much that he is bleeding in places. I am treating him for fleas, but he has had this condition all winter. I think he's got sensitive skin, possibly excessive dry skin. The vet said benadryl might help the symptoms but I would like to treat the cause. If your doggie had dry skin, as I suspect Muffin does, what would you do for him? Thanks so much!
