  • 2009 Yaris wheels changing to a 2012 Scion xD. Will they fit? I'd like to keep the snow tires.?

My wife had a 2009 Yaris which has 155/60 R15 mounted on wheels. The xD has 16" wheels. Does anyone know if the old wheels would fit on the Scion, and if the spoke patterns are the same? We want to keep the snow tires if we can which are brand new.

I am not in possession yet of the Scion, so I cannot see it for myself.

Thanks in advance for your help.

(ps: any haters that tell me to buy something different are not helpful.. just sayin')

  • ipod, itunes, adding songs from one ipod to another without erasing the original?

I have an ipod classic with a bunch of songs my daughter likes. We were given an old itouch so she can use it (she is 6), so i would like to add the songs onto her ipod too.

With purchased items i can see how you can just drag from the library, but I have a bunch of others from cd's that were scanned into itunes, and I am not sure how to move them. Or more easily, if you can move playlists regardless of the source of the songs since they are a mix of purchased and scanned from our cd's.

    Any help is greatly appreciated,

  • Daily phone annoyance?

At my business we keep getting phone calls that when you pick up there is no one there.

After a few seconds (or if you say hello again), there is a beep and then a recorded "Thank You" before it hangs up.

Does anyone know who this is? Is it telemarketing to see if a line is active?

It is annoying as hell, happens about 10 times a day.

  • How do you say "Services may be covered through your work benefits package" in spanish?

Also if you can... "All services are strictly confidential" (I put "Todos los servicios son privado y confidencial") would that be acceptable?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Melted plastic in oven?

Something fell in the over (or was in it already) and caught fire. The fire was quickly put out, but now we have this plastic residue on the bottom of the over. Is there a type of cleaner that can get rid of the melted plastic without ruining the non-stick surface of the oven? What is the best way to get rid of it? It is such a thin layer that scraping is not really an option, but the fumes are still really strong if the oven is turned on.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Facebook album privacy?

I know you can set albums for general public or friends/networks etc. Is there a way to set up an album for only specific friends (ie: 2 or 3 specific people) to see them? Or is it always an all or nothing kind of thing?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Child bitten by another child, doctor?

My daughter was bitten by another girl in daycare. The bite did break the skin, and there is a bit of bruising of course. We of course cleaned and disinfected it. It seems to look clean and is not discoloured. Is it advisable to take her to a doctor to have it looked at? Being that it looks clean and does not seem to bother her at all, can I avoid the doctor and take her if it gets worse or if there are other symptoms? What symptoms would I look for that would need a doctor visit?

  • Microsoft Excel help?

Is there a way to select many fields at once and modify the numbers?

I need to add a percentage to prices, and need to know if there is a way to select just the prices in the page and increase them. I really don't want to have to go one by one and calculate the percentage and drop it in.

  • Cleaning crayon off of a sofa?

Our 18 month old has taken to using our white sofa (cotton, with a mildly rough texture) as a canvas for her emerging art skills with a crayon. Any suggestions on how to clean it off? As pretty as it is, it just does not quite go with the decor :)

  • If you could do one thing to help those around you?

What would you do? I am not talking global scale. Just one small kind act to those who are already in your life.

What would you do and why?

  • Toyota FJ vs Jeep Rubicon Unlimited (or sahara)... or any other suggestions?

Looking for a vehicle, and I like both of these. Wondering what people think about them and if there are owners who are either satisfied or not with either. Other suggestions for this type of vehicle? Dodge Nitro was another possibility.

Not looking to spend insane amounts of money, do not want full size (dont want to park it on the street, garage space is somewhat limited), offroad capability is an asset since I aften go mountainboarding in the summer. Also need a bit of cargo room since I also do mountainboard demos and often have up to 14 boards and protective gear with me as well. Thanks in advance for all your help!

  • Why is answering addictive?

What makes you answer so many questions in so many categories. Are you trying to help others? Trying to accumulate points (and why do that exactly?) Is it to show your vast knowledge?

Or is it simply to be heard and listened to?

I find it odd that I am trying to get points, even though they really dont mean anything other than on here. It is interesting to read such a wide variety of knowledge and to hear other peoples' opinions on so many objects. And it is nice to feel like I make a contribution. What about you?

  • Frivolous Lawsuit for Car Accident?

Not as much about the suit, which is ridiculous. What we were wondering is this. My wife had a fender bender 2 years ago. We just got a notice that the person is suing us for an insane amount of money. Usually it is covered by insurance which we have. However she had a different insurance company than who she has now. Would the suit still be with the older company from the time of the accident, or would we need different representation?

  • Forever thrashin?

Going to a concert the other night got me wondering about this. If you are into hard music and always have been, when do you think you are too old to go to a gig/concert/whatever? Are you ever too old? I grew up listening to all kinds of metal/thrash/punk/etc, I still like it all and most likely always will. Do I give up going to shows at some point because other people will think I am old?

Think about this... if you are in the 14-25ish range now and are into hard core/metal/nu/deth/goth/etc, when do you think you will stop listening to it? If you believe you will always like it, when do you decide to stop hitting up shows or dressing the way you feel comfortable? Where is the line drawn, and do you think there needs to be a limit? I think I plan on listening to this stuff until I am 90, so when do I need to dress and act "old"?

For the record, I still hit the pits harder than most of the younger ones anyway :)

  • Ready for Potty Training?

I know there is a wide range of ages for when different children have been potty trained (seen from 11 months to 4 years as extremes).

How do you know if a child is ready to be trained mentally and physically? What traits would they need to exhibit to show they are ready to be trained?

And if you really feel like typing more, any suggestions are always welcome for how to go about it :)

    Thanks in advance!
