  • late period but still bfn?

Hubby and I BD'd the two days prior and the day of ovulation. Period was due Tuesday, and still no sign (I'm so paranoid it'll show I've been to the bathroom every hour since Tuesday!!!). My temps are screwy thanks to daylight savings time... Anyone that was actually pregnant still get a bfn 2 days after their period was due?

I am set to see my doc on the 21st, so if there is still no AF by then I will ask to be tested, but I am not a very patient person, and would like to know as soon as I can one way or the other.

  • anyone else experiencing/experienced this?

On thursday night (8-12 dpo) my bbs were tender to the touch, even a shirt bothered them, now that feeling has subsided, mostly. They feel heavy and like they are in the way. I went and got sized for bras earlier this week and they said I was between 34b and c, which is strange because I am normally between 34a and b...

also last night (9-13 dpo) i got some deep cramping in my pelvic area, and some mad nausea, but no puking. I thought maybe it was some constipation pains, but I bm'ed this morning and am still having the deep cramping feeling. On top of that my pelvic area feels kind of fuzzy.

When checking cp and cm last night I found it was rather high and firm and closed, and my cm was almost like bad-cold snot.. it wasn't there when I checked this morning..

AF is due on jan 13, so I know it could be AF symptoms, but has anyone else been pregnant and had these symptoms?

  • what does the early pregnancy hormone headache feel like?

I am having a headache, which is kind of right behind my ears and across my forehead. I know it definitely not a migraine, as I am an old pro at those and what they feel like, but is this that headache some women get in early pregnancy due to the rush of hormones??

  • 5-9 dpo symptoms - Pregnant or not?

ok, so I have had some cramping (like slight shooting pains) on the left side of my abdomen, so low it feels like it's in between my hips, today I checked my CP and CM and I came back with a bit of red blood (but no tissue), not a lot, but enough to wipe on the toilet tissue... My CP is mid to high and hard, but still feels open. This morning in the elevator I almost puked due to a woman's coffee and another's perfume. In the car I felt pukey and I am still slightly queasy and I have been quite gassy... I don't want to get my hopes up too high as we are playing the "if it happens, it happens" game, which is also why I am not sure as to when I O'd, but it was sometime between Saturday and Wednesday.. Someone help me make sense of all of this!!!

  • Anyone else a little disturbed?

Has anyone else noticed the plan b ads to the right of the screen? The only time I ever see them in answers is in TTC... Maybe I'm being a little sensitive, but doesn't that seem a little callous to be advertising on a board where people are TRYING to get pregnant?

  • fighting newlyweds, normal?

My husband and I got married June 7, 2008. We moved in together a week before we got married. Since the wedding we have been extremely busy between work and family obligations. First his niece's birthday party which was in a town an hour away. Then we entertained his grandfather on Father's day. The next weekend he wanted to go antiquing, so we went. Then we went to his brother's going away party. That same weekend we found out my grandfather was in the ICU. We went to the ICU and he b*tched so we left, although I wanted to stay overnight. We went back the next day and he b*tched the whole time we were there. I went the next day and he went to work, and when I asked him to meet me there after work he b*tched. Wednesday I went to work and took a day off from the hospital, and he b*tched about me not doing anything around our apartment. Thursday we both went to work and met at the hospital where he once again b*tched about being there. Friday, the same thing. Yesterday, the same! (contd)

  • What do you think about the Early Show's story about the Air Force airman who alleged rape?

I provided the link to the story below. Anyways, here is a recap. The airman, age 19, went to a party and got drunk (we're talking almost twice the legal limit), and had sex with 3 other airmen, which she now alleges was rape. She refused to testify in the rape case, stating the defense had intimidated her. Now the Air Force has charged her (and the 3 guys) with underage drinking. The 3 guys took a plea deal and received reprimand, but she wants a trial now stands to be court-maritaled. What do you think about this?

  • Has anyone heard of Westboro Baptist Church or Fred Phelps, the pastor?

I was lounging at home watching a Tyra Banks Show re-run, where Tyra had the Rev. Fred Phelps family, his daughter and grand daughters on, and they were spouting some nasty hatred about homosexuals and the military and how America deserved 9/11 and how all of the country is doomed and how hurrican Katrina was because the country had persecuted Westboro Baptist. I thought maybe it would be a shameful thing for the Reverand, so I googled him, and came up with godhatesfags.com, which is a whole page perpetrating this nastiness IN THE NAME OF GOD!!!

After taking a glimpse at the site, what do other christians think of this? and what do other religions and atheists/agnostics think of this type of display by "christians"?

  • How to handle an overbearing ex-in-law?

OK, so she really wasn't an in-law, but a future in-law, and I am no longer engaged to her step son.

We (my new fiance, my 2 year old daughter, and I) have been dealing with her more so then dealing with my ex, who is a pretty laid back guy (when she isn't pulling the strings).

She is extremely annoying and overbearing with her comments and letters to me about their visits with my daughter and the rules we have set forth in our house and is apparently really concerned with my etiquette (go figure).

The thing is that she isn't even biologically related anyone in this situation, but insists on sticking her nose where it doesn't belong.

How can I politely tell her to butt out? Is it even my place?

  • ex introductions?

I recently was in the uncomfortable situation of having my ex-finace (and father to my daughter) in my home, while my current fiance was there.

Neither introduced themself to the other, and I did not introduce them, as I did not feel it my place, as I was not truly a hostess to the situation and was more worried about my daughter's comfort.

please understand, I am not trying to find ways out of introducing them, but my daughter is 2. She doesn't remember seeing her father the 3 times she did in the first year of her life, and thinks my current fiance is her daddy, so this was very distressing for her.

I was trying to keep my daughter at ease and basically left the introductions to the two of them.

My current fiance says he felt it was my ex's responsibility since he was "in the situation" versus my fiance who is kind of on the outside looking in.

My ex is mad and ranting and raving as to why I did not introduce them (he seemed to have no interest)!!

  • Who should make the introductions?

I recently was in the uncomfortable situation of having my ex-finace (and father to my daughter) in my home, while my current fiance was there.

Neither introduced themself to the other, and I did not introduce them, as I did not feel it my place, as I was not truly a hostess to the situation and was more worried about my daughter's comfort rather then if they knew each other's name (which they do).

My current fiance says he felt it was my ex's responsibility since he was "in the situation" versus my fiance who is kind of on the outside looking in.

My ex is mad and ranting and raving as to why I did not introduce them.

These are grown men, both older then myself, shouldn't one of them have been the bigger person? and if so which one?

  • If the wedding is about the bride and groom why do they HAVE to cater to the guests?

If a wedding is the bride and groom's day, why are there so many who think that the couple should cater to the guests' wants?

Why should they have to play music that all of their guests know are not their style?

Aren't the guests there to celebrate the happiness the couple has brought to each others' lives?

  • Old music at a wedding?

my fiance and I love OLD music (frank sinatra, dean martin, ella fitzgerald, etta james, frankie vallie, etc.)

we want a very self-centered wedding (what WE want, not what everyone else wants)... as a guest would you be bored if you didn't hear the macarena or celebration or the cotton eyed joe, etc? Or would you prefer a list of classic older songs, that allow you to enjoy the other guests' company?

  • Details on a very couple-centric wedding?

This may sound selfish to some, but I am looking for details on a wedding that is very, well, revolved around the couple... for instance, no bridesmaids, only music they like, vows they write...

how can you go about this without alienating the guests?

  • what is the lastest you would attend a wedding? (and not expect dinner)?

What is the latest time of day you would attend a wedding? (and not expect dinner) I am helping a friend, and she has said neither family has the money to pay for dinner for the 100+ guests they are planning on inviting. She wants to have a cocktail party type reception with drinks and appetizers and then cake with some varied passed desserts. So once again I ask, what is the latest you would attend a wedding (and not expect dinner)
