We're thinking about buying a used SUV for my wife. I already have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner that has 169,000 miles on it and is still going strong (knock on wood), so naturally I want her to get a Highlander. My wife is more interested in the Kia Sorento, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Chevrolet Traverse.
I know the Kia/Hyundai are good vehicles, because we have a Hyundai Sonata now which is reliable (we just want her to be in an SUV instead of a sedan) but I have had some very bad experiences with General Motors vehicles in the past, including two SUVs that were just awful. However, I know things change, and I was wondering what people's experiences have been with Chevrolet Traverse or one of its mechanically-identical siblings (GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Saturn Outlook - all mechanically the same vehicle). How long have you had the car? Is it generally reliable? How many miles are on it? Did you buy it used or new? Would you recommend this vehicle, especially to somebody buying used?
Thanks for any advice!2 AnswersBuying & Selling7 years ago
I am taking a class in programming in C online, and all semester I have been forced to use C-Free on my MS Windows XP virtual machine because I cannot figure out how to get Xcode 4 to actually RUN THE PROGRAM on my Mac with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. If I push "Run," it just simply tells me that the build is good but does not actually run/execute the program in the output window or elsewhere. How do I get Xcode to compile and actually run my C programs??? What am I missing?
Thanks.1 AnswerProgramming & Design9 years ago
I don't even know why it bothers me so much, since I'm a Toyota SUV owner, but I just think that the "Dodge Ram" is such an iconic truck, and that the Ram Head logo looked really good on Dodge cars, minivans and SUVs, as well as their trucks, and I just think Chrysler created a marketing mistake because everyone associates "Ram" with "Dodge" and both brands are now incomplete and weakened, despite Chrysler's claim that this move will do the opposite. What do other car enthusiasts think? Chime in!2 AnswersDodge10 years ago
I have a toyota 4runner with a TRD supercharger. Never owned or really drove a 4Runner before mine, and I'm wondering if the TRD Supercharger really makes a difference at all, or if I'd be better off removing it to save money on gas, since the supercharger only runs on premium and decreases mileage a little.7 AnswersToyota1 decade ago
I've been really depressed over my girlfriend leaving me, a lack of self-love, and a lack of job success. Lately it's been so bad that I am so deep in anxiety and depression that I don't want to live anymore. I can't stand being alone all the time and I feel empty. I am having thoughts about suicide and I cannot function as a person. I have bipolar and OCD/Anxiety disorder and those don't help either. What can I do to snap out of this?12 AnswersMental Health1 decade ago
I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada SUV, and not counting reliability, I love it. It's comfortable and luxurious, functional and rides great, and has a ton of features hard to find on a regular SUV. It's like a mini-escalade. However, it's been in the shop a ton, for a few major things and a few moderate, one of the major things being a major defect in the fuel injection system that GM refuses to recall and rather makes the customers pay for. I test drove a Nissan Pathfinder and a Toyota 4Runner SR5, and the pathfinder doesn't have enough room and rides horrible. The Toyota rides ok but has an uncomfortable seat. Is it worth it to go Japanese next, are they that much more reliable that it's worth sacrificing comfort and ride? Honestly no other truck-based SUV I've ever driven (and i've driven most of them) rides as smooth as my Bravada, but I also want a reliable vehicle. I'm not sure what to chose next. I don't want a car-based SUV so Highlanders, etc are out.9 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade ago
I'm a 25 year old guy and I'm still a virgin. I'm very self-conscious about it.. are there others like me?
I've always been the nice guy, and have spend much more of my energy trying to find love than sex. I have failed. I'm also shy and am behind socially from other guys my age and am not confident, so I have a hard time talking to women. I just feel so abnormal and inferior about being a 25 year old virgin, and wonder if there's many others out there. Most guys I know lost it at about 17.7 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade ago
