  • How do you get an 18 month old to sit in time-out?

It gets to be more of a struggle to sit in timeout than it was to get in trouble in the first place. It's a battle of wills. I'm not trying to sit her there for more than a minute, but it takes 4 times that long to fight with her to get her to sit there at all! Frustrating...please help!

  • How do I get my iTunes library onto an iMac.?

I just changed from a pc to an iMac, and I can't figure out how to transfer my iTunes library over to it. I can't manage my iPod either until I reconfigure it to the Mac, but I don't want to lose all my music. What do I do? I need detailed instructions.

  • What can I do to keep my newborn from spitting up everything I just fed him?

He is 13 days old, and for the last 3 days he is spitting up everything he just ate at least twice a day. I try to burp him better, but it seems like he gags and then it all comes up. It even shoots out his nose! He only eats for about 10 minutes at the breast before this happens. What can I do? I am getting really worried.

  • Did you have kids close together in age? How did the older child react to the baby?

My daughter will be 14 months old when my son is born in 3 weeks. I am concerned about how she is going to react to the new baby. She is such a sweet girl with lots of personality, and I don't want this to change her into a monster. I will be having a c-section so it will be a no-no to pick her up, and that worries me too. Right now I am her jungle gym, and to not be able to pick her up anytime will be hard on her. Any advice from those who have gone through this will be helpful.

  • Did anyone else experience this in recovery from a c-section?

In the recovery room after my c-section, granted I was heavily medicated, I remember about 4 nurses turning me onto each side and pressing on my stomach. It was extremely painful, and I was yelling at them to stop, but they kept saying it would be over soon. What were they doing? Did anyone else experience this or something similar?

  • What kinds of table foods do you feed a one year old?

My daughter is ready to start table foods, but I don't know what kinds of foods to start her on. Maybe thick-cut lunch meat, canned veggies, and soft fruits; but what else? I need examples from parents who have done this before please.

  • I was taught from day one there is no Santa, but I want my kids to think he is real.?

My facial hair is blonde, but my freckles make it look like I have a mustache. Is there a trick to make my skin look lighter under my nose? I don't ever put make-up there because it just makes it look darker. I am desperate. What can I do?

  • When do you let kids move from crib to toddler bed?

My daughter will be 14 months old when my son is born. We are thinking we will give him the crib and move my daughter into a toddler bed. Will she be too young at that time, or should it be ok by then?

  • My placenta is low, and I can't find much info on it. Can anyone help?

My doctor said no sex until further notice. Is there anything else I shouldn't do like lifting etc.? My baby is healthy according to the ultrasound. He said the placenta sometimes moves up further along in the pregnany, but what if it doesn't. What then? Is bed rest in my future or is it going to be OK?

  • Do men have PMS too?

It seems like once a month my husband withdrawls from me and my daughter. He gets really down, almost depressed. He doesn't want to talk to his family or friends. He can't sleep, and barely eats. It usually lasts for a few days, and then he just snaps out of it. What is the deal? Any other men that go through anything similar that can give some insight? I just don't know what to do anymore. It makes me feel really sad to see him that way. What can I do to help?

  • Is there a website that helps you choose a new doctor?

I need a new pediatrician for my daughter, but I don't have anyone to ask in my new town. Is there a free website that gives you patient reviews of the doctors instead of just choosing a name from a list?

  • I am 17 weeks pregnant and my best friend is about 9 wks. She is about to miscarry I'm afraid.?

She is having cramps and bleeding. She is taking progesterone and on bedrest, but she is still bleeding. I'm afraid that if she miscarries she will be afraid to talk to me about it because I am having a trouble-free pregnancy. I am also feeling very guilty because I am having such an easy time, and she is struggling. What do I say to her to make her feel better? I'm worried about her, and she is not returning my calls to check on her. What should I do? Anyone been in my situation or hers that can tell me how she may be feeling?
