  • Business Combinations Accounting Help!?

Washington Corp. owned all of the voting common stock of Superside Co. Both companies use the perpetual inventory method, and Washington decided to use the partial equity method to account for this investment. During 2010, Washington made cash sales of $400,000 to Superside. The gross profit rate was 30% of the selling price. By the end of 2010, Superside had sold 75% of the goods to outside parties for $420,000 cash.

    A) Prepare journal entries for Washington and Superside to record the sales/purchases during 2010.

B). Prepare the consolidation entries that should be made at the end of 2010.

    C. Prepare any 2011 consolidation worksheet entries that would be required regarding the 2010 inventory transfer.

Im am doing this project for my Intermediate accounting class... Give me some ideas please?

Im in the undergrad business school of Rutgers university. Im majoring in accounting... Should i switch to finance? I will still graduate in 2 years, without sacrificing time!

my GPA will be about 3.4-3.5 when i graduate..

Keeping my credentials in mind, what do you think would be the smarter choice to make? I feel as if its harder to land a job in the finance field..
