Purchased one of the figures from the line, only to discover that it came with two left legs, and zero right legs. Was hoping there was somewhere that might be able to assist me in finding the correct part needed.1 AnswerToys5 years ago
I'm trying to find a smaller framed multi-gear road bike for a child. Kabuki used to have a 10 speed bicycle on a small (no more than 16") frame and using 24" wheels. Looking for something similar that won't be incredibly expensive, and will retain enough value that it could be resold or traded in as the child grows.3 AnswersCycling5 years ago
New Army lieutenants are called butterbars, but I don't know something similar for the navy.9 AnswersMilitary5 years ago
Action movie, one I saw back in 1991, so it was older than that. It centered around a Marine guard unit at a foreign embassy. When terrorists attack the embassy, they take prisoners, and begin sending out ransom requests, as well as torturing the captured. One torture scene involves a marine taking a power drill to the knee cap.1 AnswerMovies6 years ago
Older "Young Men" adventure story set in World War II. A Naval aviator is shanghaied into a mission to stop a Japanese senior officer visiting South Pacific outposts. The aviator is forced into a Marine platoon, and sent out via submarine. A mine takes out the sub, and the platoon is forced to escape from the sinking sub, with many not surviving the swim to the surface. The few remaining have to continue the mission, and the aviator ends up being necessary to the group as he is the only one who can take command of the dignitaries plane and bring the team home. He dies as the plane taxis to a landing, with the final line being a young marine giving him the best eulogy they can think of - "He was a Marine.".

This was a blaxploitation movie, as I remember it. Family member killed in some sort of criminal activity, and the daughter who had moved away returns to exact revenge. She slips in to her family's voodoo roots, and begins tracking and punishing those that did the wrong using snakes, spells, zombies, and the like. Her assistant was a thin faced (but royally scary) man with a penchant for the machete.
Can anyone help me remember and find this movie?1 AnswerMovies6 years ago
Low bit horror movie with a late 70s/early 80s vibe. A couple comes to a small coastal community. He is sick with a wasting ailment no one can identify. While they are there, the town suffers a rash of what appears to be grave robbing, but it is realized that the bodies are being consumed. Later it is revealed that there is a community of hideously inbred creatures living under the surface of the area, and dependent upon formaldehyde to survive. Sick guy is eventually revealed to be a member of this creature community. I remember that this movie spent a long while on the ultra late night bad movie circuit a while back, but I don't remember the name of it. Can anyone help?1 AnswerMovies7 years ago
I remember seeing it as an afternoon matinee on television. Basic theme that I remember is that a criminal has stolen a car in the Southwest or West Coast, and the only person who can track him is a helicopter traffic reporter, chasing him into the desert through the snarled traffic and police jurisdictions. At one point the helicopter (The same model helicopter as used in MASH) must land amid the traffic jam and the pilot finagles fuel from a tanker truck.
Not much to go on, true, but can anyone at least point me in the right direction for this? I saw it back in the late 70s or early 80s, and if it was on daytime theater then, it had to be older.2 AnswersMovies7 years ago
I remember it as a Sunday Night Movie Of The Week, in the style of James Bond films. Dashing espionage expert, always with ladies near him, and plenty of gadgets to deal with the bad guys before they destroy the earth. I remember that he had a pack of cutting torch cigarettes and dental floss that served as det-cord. Would have aired on regular television in either the late 70s or very early 80s.1 AnswerMovies7 years ago
I remember a show that featured a pair of Air Force officers going around the country, debunking UFO sightings. Sort of an early X-Files, without the conspiracy theories and cryptids. I remember they would explain the whole thing as something plausible, and then after they left, it would be shown that they were wrong, and something really had happened. Would have aired in the early 1970s. Anyone have any ideas?2 AnswersDrama7 years ago
I'm looking for a character who would exemplify the sin of pride. A level of hubris that overwhelms most other aspects of their existence. Someone positive that their name alone would be a force capable of rewriting history. Any ideas?3 AnswersMythology & Folklore7 years ago
I remember a series of young adult level books based upon a small group of youth detectives. They had access to a fancy car and a driver, and had ties to Alfred Hitchcock.
I seem to remember that each kid in the group had a nickname that related to some aspect of their personality, and that they had a certain history with bluffing their way through situations.2 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years ago
Stew cut chicken breast in a cream sauce, very delicate citrus hints. Does anyone have or know of where I could find a recipe for this dish?1 AnswerCooking & Recipes8 years ago
I remember it was a story about a boy who lived in an automated house that woke him, cleaned him, dressed him, and fed him every day. There was a power failure and the boy slept for several days before the system resetting and trying to pack in the entire missing time into one day.2 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years ago
I'm looking for an old anime show, where the title character is a princess disguised as a prince in order to maintain her place in the line of succession to the throne. At least one episode involved knights wearing what looked like normal armor, but had hidden weapons within. Can anyone help me correctly remember the name of this show, and where I can find it? I seem to remember it as Prince Night/Princess Night, but none of my searches have found anything under that title.1 AnswerComics & Animation1 decade ago
It was a science fiction novel from the late 80s. It primarily dealt with a group of genetically engineered children and the scientist who had been responsible for the techniques that gave each child their gifts. But the global fear issue had to do with one of his creations - creatures designed to live and thrive on gaseous worlds like Jupiter. As I recall, they were called Sparkhounds.1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade ago
I remember an advertisement for a game from the early 1980s, with an illustration showing waves of zombies coming after a group of scared scientists. The premise, as I remember, was that a research facility was being overrun by zombies (plague or radiation, I don't remember which) and you controlled the remaining humans and their robots as they ran for safety. The illustration had this odd little robot which was bravely firing upon the undead with an M-16. I believe that it was shown in Dragon magazine, but even that isn't a for certain. But I can't remember the name or manufacturer of the game. Can anybody help?2 AnswersOther - Games & Recreation1 decade ago
