I strive to live a life pleasing to God, to seek biblical truth and to apply it to all aspects of my life. I'm a member of the Church of Christ, Ive done a few years of mission work in Ukraine, Russia, and of course the US. I love to make people think...and I love constructive criticism; feel free to email me. I fall every day but I continue to run the race and fight the good fight! "in the defence and confirmation of the gospel" Php 1:7 The Gospel-I Cor 15. -Believe on Jesus Christ: Acts 15:11 Acts 8:37 -Confess and Repent: Rom 10:9, Acts 8:37 -Be Baptized: Acts 8:35-39, Acts 2:38,Gal 3:27 -Walk in Newness of life Rom 6:4....... For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; Romans 1:16

  • What could legally be done about this: 17 year old girl captive?

I'm not sure about this but here are the details: Her parents died when she was 5 and she was adopted. she is set to inherit $250.000 most likely when she is 18. She says "she finished high school early". Her myspace has only pics of her inside her home alone, all except for a few with one girl about her age. She seems to be on sedatives and seemed bipolar at times. Says how nice they are to her, this does not seem to be the kindly type of family that would adopt someone. I ran a back ground check on her step dad and found some burglary, drug and "HOMICIDENEGLIG MANSLVEH" charges its only a misdemeanor what does this one mean? Imagine being raised in such a situation. I'm afraid how they would be with her after they take the money she seems very sweet and gullible. They wont let her talk with me or see me, granted she is under age but its not illegal to talk with a 17 year old.

What could be done about this who would investigate something like this?

  • Darwin evolutionists: what are the corner stone facts of evolution?

Note: I believe in and can see evolution at work: things change and adapt, "6 : a process in which the whole universe is a progression of interrelated phenomena" I think most of us agree the our universe is well designed and well organized.

That being said please answer me on these points of Darwin's evolution:

    >The big bang theory relies on two protons bumping onto each other, am I right? Where did the protons come from? And how did order come from these two protons bumping together?

    >Evolution "(1) : a process of continuous change from a lower, simpler, or worse to a higher, more complex, or better state" Show me an example of this.

    >Many people seem to think darwin's evolution disproves our having a Creator. Prove that to me as well please.

  • Spirituality speaking: why did God work in different ways from the OT to the NT?

In the old testament God was violent and rough, commanding His servants to kill those who did not odey. The deal was serve the one true God or die pretty much.

An eye for an eye was the law then, in contrast to the law of liberty which is centered around love.

Thoughts? why did God change the way He works with mankind? Im really looking for a broad answer focusing on why God did what he did in the old testament.

My few thoughts on this started along this line:

Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Could this be, in a long term way likening the servants of God (maybe generally speaking the whole human race) to bringing up children?

  • Believers and non believers are you aware of: Biblical Perfection through prophetical evidence?

The bible is a collection of 66 books written by 40 divinely inspired writers, all in a span of about 1500 years or more. Most of these men never knew each other, yet the whole bible cohesively agrees on Jesus Christ: old testament:that he is coming. New testament: he came now we must follow him. The bible proves itself by itself through Prophetical evidence of Jesus Christ:

The old testament of Isaiah was written about 700BC: It prophecies of an exalted one, someone who is "despised and rejected of men." someone who was "wounded for our transgressions".

The most concentrated prophecy being in Isaiah 53: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=isaiah...

That prophecy was fulfilled in Mattew 27: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthe...

All historical accounts (even non Christians like Josephus) tell us that Christ came and that He was and did all that was prophesied. And Isaiah 53 is just one of around a hundred prophecies fulfilled by Christ.

Due to the complexity and number of years between the writing and fulfillment of each prophecy, even standing alone proves the perfection and Divine authorship of the bible!

Thoughts? Please star this so more people can answer it, thanks!

  • Bible Scholars/Students: What is "that which is perfect" in I Cor 13:10?

I believe that is the Word of God because Jesus is referred to as perfect Eph 4:13, Heb 2:9, 10, Heb 5:8, 9.

And Jesus in John is referred to as "the Word"

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Also because of some generally related passages like this one that pertain to the perfect Word of God.

2Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Tim 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

  • For Christians who say: Baptism does not save us...?

---What do you say to this passage:

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

    1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

1Pe 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

---Its a shame to see so many "christians" teach that baptism does not save us. When we can see by even just this one passage that baptism is just as essential as Jesus Christ dying on the cross! without which we have no salvation.

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

---Those who are not buried/baptized into Christ's death...can not be with with Christ in His resurrection.

To people who teach that baptism does not save...do you not see that you are in error?

  • Catholics: If Peter was the first pope...?

And if the pope is infallible...then how could Paul say: "he was to be blamed."

Gal 2:11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

On top of that he denied Christ three times. The bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Rom 3:23---

Are you Catholics sure that you have rightly divided the word of God? And that you are not in a man made/controlled religion?

  • Doctrinal question for Christians.?

For christians who believe in the "sinners prayer"

Ok this is the way the bible shows salvation:

Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

Well of course that's only part of it...anyways where do you guys get your reasoning or authority for the "sinners prayer" or whatever you would like to call it?...maybe from this verse or others like it?

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall

    be saved.

I think telling someone to pray the sinners prayer would be something like handing someone the keys to a new car...saying its yours bought and paid for...and as they get in to start it they find that not all the parts are there...and they are going no where!

  • Why in US courts do they make you swear on the Bible when the Bible says...?

    Matthew 5:34-36

34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

Interesting? anyone know when this started?

  • Atheists I think this was written for you...?

    Romans 1:20-25

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Know you guys dont believe the Bible.

My Question---Why be an Atheist? What drives you? sounds like a dark life to me...
