I am logged in with Admin permissions. I created the files. I can see them on the Desktop. When I try to drag a file to the Recycle Bin I get the message "filename is a read-only file. Are you sure?" I click Yes, then I get the message "Cannot delete filename: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use."
None of those things are true. I am the only user of the computer and I know how to set/unset write protection on files and disks. The disk is nowhere near full.
Most files on the Desktop I can delete but a few are behaving this way. No other files in any other folder are behaving this way.1 AnswerSoftware7 years ago

I have a patch file generated by my diff utility. I want to apply the patch file to a local directory structure that is not a working copy of a project. When I run 'svn patch...' it blows up with error E155007 and the message "not a working copy." The command does work if I run it against a real working copy of the project that I copied with "svn copy..."1 AnswerProgramming & Design8 years ago

The fixture is a new light socket with a pull switch and the wiring in the building is aluminum. The fixture looks to be copper and I don't think that there is an aluminum replacement.5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years ago
Trying to seat a toilet bowl on a flange... I have a #3 wax ring with an extender sleeve, but the flange is about 1/4" below the floor and the bowl exhaust is flush with the base of the bowl. When I put the wax ring on the flange and the bowl on the flange, the wax ring doesn't make up. It just barely contacts the bowl. When I pick up the bowl, the ring sticks to it, but just barely. There's no seal.
Can I stack two #3 was rings or a #1 (no sleeve) on top of the #3? Is there a taller wax ring I should get?6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade ago
Rainwater travels down the downspout but the drain tile must be clogged somewhere. The underground run is at least 100 feet to the back of the property. There is some drainage out of the other end but heavy rains cause it to back up.1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade ago
