  • Melamine Faced Chipboard/Conti Board safe to use for a rat cage?

I'm looking at building my own Rat cage, and obviously I want it to be as waterproof as possible so that I won't have to replace or repair it continuously, so I was looking to build the walls and shelves out of Conti Board which is branded Melamine faced chipboard, but I don't know whether this would be safe for rats, any advice or links would be greatly appreciated.

  • Safe mesh spacing for a pet rat cage?

I'm currently looking at building a cage myself for two male rats, and I need some advice about the spacing of the mesh parts for the door. I intend to get 6 week old or similar age rats from a breeder but I believe 1" square mesh will allow them to get out easily, but I'd rather not have 1/2" square mesh as I feel this would obstruct my view of them and their cage too much. I read somewhere that 1"x1/2" mesh (which would be ideal really) is dangerous as it can trap their feet, but would this happen in both orientations or is it safe one way and dangerous the other? Thanks

  • Nexus 7 won't turn on?

Whilst using my nexus the other day, the screen suddenly went green with a line of white pixels on one side, then the tablet died completely, since then it hasn't turned on normally and occasionally with come up with 'google' for a few seconds if I hold the power button for ages. I did manage to get it to turn on for a few seconds earlier, and it said it had 40% battery, so it cant be a battery issue, though it died a few seconds later. Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Poly Cement Safe for Pet Rats?

I'm making a nest box for pet rats from an old plastic storage box and need to glue the lid on. I figured I would use Humbrol Poly Cement which I have from old plastic miniatures because I thought that it would be safe once it has dried because of the way it bonds but I don't want to risk them eating it and getting sick so can someone please tell me if Poly Cement would be safe to use? Thanks

  • Best GIGABYTE motherboard (for 3rd gen intel i5 processor) for around £100?

Possibly building a new computer soon (will be my first), so obviously looking at various components, and it would seem according to most websites that GIGABYTE make good motherboards, so I was wondering which motherboard would be the best (for roughly £100) to be used with probably a 3rd gen intel i5 3.40 Ghz? thanks

  • Gum Shield For Rugby (uk)?

I've had an OPRO Gold Premium 'boil in the bag' type gum shield for a few months now, but I've chewed it to pieces so I'm looking to get a new one. It was a good gum shield but I don't really want to get it again if the same thing is going to happen again soon. I only play in a third division u15s team so I don't need anything super expensive (correct me if I'm wrong) anyone got any suggestions for a new one? Also I was looking at the TapouT mouthguard, anyone used this and know whether it is any good? Thanks

  • Creative Zen Touch 2?

I currently have and iPod touch 3rd gen, which is absolutely amazing, and has been for 3 years, but at the moment its battery life is very short, and it is unable to run most apps, and I think it might die on me at some point. I would love to get a new iPod touch, but I don't have anywhere near enough money, and I'm not sure if it is worth it, so i was searching around and found that Creative do an android mp3 player- the Zen touch 2, and at the moment it is £80.00 on their websie. I read reviews, and they are hardly sparkling, obviously it isnt a competitor of the touch, but has anyone had it, and is it worth the £80 for a sort of replacement for my old touch?

  • Royal Marines Eyesight question- yes another one.?

im sure there are hundreds of other questions, but all of the other answers seem to have lots of confusing numbers and letters. I would like to join the marines as an officer when i'm older but i dont want to aim for it then find out that my eyesight is too crap to get in so i thought id check now. My left eye is fine but unfortunately my right eye (bloody typical) is pretty crap. I currently wear glasses for like looking at the board in class, not because i have to, but so i dont strain my eyes. Can i wear glasses if i join the marines as an officer? i know its hardly tactical but i thought there's a chance. Any answers will be helpful. Cheers :)
