I am a medical transcriptionist looking for work online (8 years experience) so I can stay home with my kids and 3 companies are currently looking to hire me. None of them, however, are listed with the Better Business Bureau and I don't know if I should trust any of them. They are all companies in a state different from mine and I have no other way of knowing if they are trustworthy (I mean you do have to give your SS # when agreeing to work). What ideas can anyone give on this?1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance1 decade ago
My 2 1/2 month old was 11 pounds 6 ounces at his 2 month visit (8 pounds 9 ounces when born) and seems to not be satisfied with formula feedings. I have been told by a lot of people that bigger babies may need cereal earlier than other babies. Is this safe to do?18 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago
A close family member of mine tried to commit suicide (really tried, slit wrists deep, took 28 Tylenol with Vodka but luckily someone found her in time). Anyway, now she has only been to counseling 3 times as of this week and the counselor is talking about only coming as needed after that and famly doc is already talking about weaning her off her antidepressants because she doesn't like taking meds. This only happened May 6. I am about to go out of my mind about this and everyone that lives near her thinks things are just back to normal. Am I the one going crazy now? What are some things I can do? She talks to me about things that get her down and yet says she doesn't need to call her counselor. I am so confused on what to do and if there is anything else I can do. I try to tell her what I think without being too bossy or intrusive but I am so worried if things don't change in her life, this could happen again. Someone please help me.9 AnswersMental Health1 decade ago

Does it look better on your credit to have a voluntary reposession of your home rather than foreclosure?
My family and I are being faced with the harsh reality of a foreclosure, and we just need to know if just handing it back to them (the bank) would be better in the long run.5 AnswersCredit1 decade ago
Is it better to just not pay left over medical bills rather than bend over backwards to try to pay them?6 AnswersCredit1 decade ago
Why is it health insurance can't pay 100 percent when 80 percent usually leaves most with a huge bill?
One big problem healthcare in my family (married couple, 2 children) is that even when our insurance does pay, it only pays 80 percent, and we are stuck with a huge bill or bills especially after a hospital visit or stay from multiple facilities. I have so many health problems even though I am only 29 that we cannot pay every medical bill that we owe, it is impossible. We pay what we can, but still end up having some go on our credit. Now people with Medicaid, which I do think is wonderful for those who need it, end up not having any left over bills and us people who make 45,000 to 50,000 a year end up with huge bills we cannot ever pay due to our other obligations like house payment and car payments and things for our children, which are much more important than a left 500-600 dollar hospital bill plus multiple others, especially when we basically live paycheck to paycheck anyway. What can be done about this?9 AnswersInsurance1 decade ago
I personally feel that too much at this age could affect them negatively. I certainly don't want my 4 year old daughter thinking about a baby coming out of her vag*** at this point in her life. My daughter knows that her baby brother is coming out soon, but only knows about C-sections. I actually know someone who was affected negatively and became obsessive after learning about this at a young age. I have been reading on babycenter where mothers think it is ok to just talk about it all in detail and how it is better to let kids know about these things and will even let their young child watch them give birth. I completely disagree! Some just things need to wait until kids are older! You certainly cannot avoid the topic, but just don't need to expose them to too much at such a young age. How can I fight my mortgage company, Vanderbuilt Mortgage? They are going to foreclose and won't work with us
My husband's work moved us to AZ in November, and so we put our house up for sale. We will now be 3 months behind on our house payment at the end of this month. The mortgage company is unwilling to work with us at all on anything! They want over $2,000 by the end of the month to avoid foreclosure. We have already paid 40,000 (4 1/2 years paid on it) for this house and owe more now than when we financed it! We asked them if we could hold off on payments until the house sells, and the answer was no. We asked if they could take less than is owed for the house so that it would sell and they could have all the money (we owe 84,000 for a tax value 79,000 home), and the anwer was no. This company is VANDERBUILT MORTGAGE, and they are so AWFUL! They bought the mortgage from our company we financed with, and we are just stuck! Is there anything we can do legally to avoid foreclosure? I am just amazed how mortgage companies can abuse people so easily and get away with it7 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade ago
