Bonus: didn't they say in some earlier episode that Chegwidden was CNO before he was JAG? Yet in this episode SecNav dangles him the carrot of Deputy CNO to get him to drop the investigation on Clancy's death.

When I asked a question about wedding photography on which I was ignorant (gee, imagine that, asking a question because you don't know the answer), a bunch of idiots came forward to denounce me as a troll. But those who actually made an honest effort to answer the question (particularly the Best Answerer) seemed eager to distance themselves from the label of wedding photographer. Why is this?

I've figured out how to make the seal as long as the human operator does not open the door, but I haven't figured out how to prevent the human operator from accidentally opening the door and causing the soapy water to spill out. Can I get a patent at this point? This is for the sake of example. My actual invention has nothing to do with washing clothes.
