  • Wanting a guys opinion?

Okay so we're both been in ltr/ have children from them: I should point that out first

I've been talking to this guy for a few weeks online - he wanted to take me on a date (okay I posted that I wanted to go on a date(s) ). I told him to pick what we did. He took me somewhere to eat and brought me back home. - talked the whole time maybe 3 hours. He asked what we should do and I asked if he wanted to come in. We watched Netflix and cuddled and kissed a bit. He asked if we should go to the bedroom and i said no I'm a good girl I don't do that on the first date.

And the movie was over and he wanted to go further and I again said no

And he told me I was a tease but he told me we'd have to go out again

    Did I do something wrong?

  • Kids Seasonal Clothes?

When do you start to switch your kids seasonal clothes? Just curious.

I was looking at this weeks forecast and it seems like it is definitely transition time: probably too cold in the mornings anymore to wear shorts or a dress without leggings - but warm enough to wear them after school some days (my oldest dd is 5) :)

  • How to cook Chicken/Picky Eater (Broader Question)?

My 5 year old is an extremely picky eater, always has been, and I thought she would grow out of it, but so far she hasn't. She loves chicken - chicken nuggets, oven roasted chicken from subway. Chicken is pretty much her only source of protein outside of dairy (although she has ate cod nuggets, I think she thought they were chicken). When I try to make chicken at home, she doesn't really like it - sometimes she will eat it, most of the time she won't - i think it is a texture thing. Is there any way I could cook it/prepare it that would maybe make it easier to transition from eating processed foods to real foods easier?

Also, any tips on helping a picky eater (without it being traumatic) would be appreciated. I tried sending her to headstart without breakfast to see if she would get hungry and eat there (they served breakfast and lunch there) but she still would only eat what she likes.

She eats yogurt (well, gogurt), string cheese, yellow american cheese (only real cheese, she won't eat velveeta lol), bread, lots of fruit - mandarian oranges, bananas, pineapple, apples, watermelon, grapes, strawberries, pears, applesauce, gram crackers, club crackers, chicken nuggets, processed chicken breast (like subway), sometimes real chicken, sometimes cod nuggets, pancakes (butter only), and cheese sandwiches and cheese pizza, ice cream (but not the ice cream cone, and only vanilla or chocalate ice cream). oh, and butter, she thinks she should eat butter with a bit of toast lol. and candy, only m&ms or hershy bar candy. She will drink milk and juice and watered down juice. She does not like to dip food (no ketchup, ranch, etc.), She will not eat pasta, rice, tortilla etc. , she will not eat vegetables, even if they are covered in cheese. No deli meat, no hamburger, no beans, no peanut butter. She used to eat pureed vegetables until she was like 2 1/2 (she quit eating them, she wouldn't transition to from say Gerbers green beans to green beans mashed with a fork) - she wouldn't pick chunky food up to eat it until she was over a year old. She has been tested by an OT therapist and they say there is no signs of oral defensiveness. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

  • Genealogy - anyone have any ideas of where i could look next?

I am trying to find out more about my great grandfather. I know where he is buried, and I know the year he was born in and i know his date of death (Oct 30 1918). There is a lot of conflicting information I have found about the place of his birth. In the county that I live in death book(index) it is listed that he was born in Indiana. In the 1900 census, it lists that he was born in Kentucky, and his parents were born in Germany. In the 1910 census it lists that he was born in Minnesota. in the SD State Census 1915 (I ordered this) it looks like it says his birthplace is minn (with a line through it), and Ind. It says his parents birthplace is WS or NW or W8 or N8 ? Very hard to read. It says that the children's fathers birth place is Ind.

I ordered a search through SD state library for his obituary/death notice, and there is none found (the newspaper record is incomplete.

I have a marriage date in Steele County MN from his wife's obituary - I haven't ordered the record. Would that give me any more information?

I also think I found him in the 1875 MN State Census Records - It says he was 18, white, and born in Indiana. County Winona, city Saratoga.

I looked through Ancestory.com for his birth records, and have not been able to find anything.

Any ideas on where I should look for information/who I would contact? I don't have an exact dob.

    Thanks

  • Confused about clothing sizes?

I know that after 3T comes 4T ~ but I was looking at dresses in a consignment store today and they had dresses that are a size 4/5. How big is a 4/5, and does it come after 4T? It looked like it was the same length as some other 4T dresses, but it looked bigger?

I'm expecting, and recently have decided I like the name Josephine nickname Josie.

Is Josephine pretty enough/feminine enough to go with Eliana? Does Josie sound a little boyish (dh's concern).

  • Can this be saved? - corningware?

My bf accidently left the lid on his grandma's coringware dish, and it now has mold on it - he ran i through the dishwasher and most of the mold is gone (at least not visible), but there is still some there. He feels really bad and doesn't want to get rid of the dish as it was his grandma's. What is the best way to get rid of the mold - and then is it safe to use again?

    thanks :)

  • Adding memory to laptop?

This might sound kind of dumb, but how do I know how much memory I can add to my laptop - and where would I go to find such a service? Would a place like Best Buy be a better bet than a local office that fixes computers (or vica versa?). I'm not even sure right this second how to find how much memory my computer has left (I have windows vista if that is helpful)

    Thanks

  • what does this mean? i can't decide?

I have a friend who I met online at a dating site. He is older than me, and he said that he thought my profile was interesting but he wasn't interested in my romantically. Okay, that was 4 years ago now. A few months after we had started talking, I met my current bf ... This person I'm talking about I've met a few times in real life. He said he just liked talking to people who had something to talk about. 2 years ago I had a child, and after that we kind of haven't e-mailed each other as much. I admit that for the first year or so I was so frazzled that I wanted to sleep more than communicate at the end of the day (which I have apologized for to all of my online friends, which really are few and between anymore because I dont' have lots of time to e-mail). Anyways, I had kind of given up on keeping the online friendship up, i figured maybe i wasn't so interesting anymore that my world consists of the things a 2 year old does/likes. :P Well, out of the blue, he e-mailed me on valentines day. He didn't say happy valentines day or anything, but still it was sent on that day. So I guess, he must have been thinking about me? So maybe he misses talking to me? i don't know. does it mean anything at all? I'd like to write back and forth more, but I don't want to be (? i don't know what the word I am looking for is).

  • Possible blood stain on second hand clothing...?

I bought some clothing for my daughter at a consignment shop. Well, it is either blood or paint, when I first looked at it, it looked like maroon paint, after throwing it in the wash (with other clothing), it looks almost like it could be blood (maybe because the article of clothing in suspect is pink). Anyways - what do I need to do at this point to make everything hygienic just in case it is blood? For the article, the other clothing, and the wash machine. I don't know - even the site of my own blood can freak me out.

    thanks!
