My wife is 9 weeks pregnant. Our male fetus heart rate was measured at 190 bpm. Seems very high to me and I’m a bit worried. ?
The techs that did the sonogram didn’t seem concerned and told us everything looked good. Do I need to worry?10 AnswersPregnancy1 year ago
I'm an adult in my early 30's. I just learned to ride a bike last week. What kind of bike should I buy?
I definitely do not want a road bike. I want something that is comfortable, where I sit upright. I will mostly be riding in NYC parks and sometimes streets when I work up the courage. My budget is around $500. Some brand and model suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.5 AnswersCycling6 years ago
A second question:
I already filed married filing separately but now I want to amend it as I want to file jointly now. How should I go about doing that?
Do I just redo my taxes as married filing jointly and fill out the amend form (forgot the form#) separately and mail it to the IRS?
Thanks!8 AnswersUnited States7 years ago
I'm an idiot and filed Married filing separately without consoling with my wife. Well we just got married back in December.
I didn't realize she needed to itemize so therefore I can't take standard. So it makes sense for us to file jointly.
I already filed my taxes and now I need to amend. I know I file the 1090X or whatever form it is but what do I do after that?
Can I start a new return with my wife now or do I need to wait for the IRS for a response?
Thanks!3 AnswersUnited States7 years ago
I thought i had discussed with my wife that we both are taking the standard deduction (filing separately) but she went and itemized.
From what I understand we have to both take standard or both itemize if we are filing separately.
When can one of us amend our returns?

My wife and I got married on 12/13/2013. We decided to file our taxes separately and jointly after this year?
We have always filed our taxes by ourselves rather than going to an accountant.
She usually itemizes and I take the standard deduction. She has a lot of expenses relating to her line of work so she itemizes.
Last night after we have both filed our taxes I find out that even if we file separately if one of us itemizes, we both have to itemize or if one of us takes standard we both have to take standard.
Just wondering what we have to do now? Should we go ahead and get the amending process going?
We got married on 12/13/2013
We both work.
I make 45k a year and she makes 85k a year.
We do not own a home, we rent.
We do not have kids.
My wife is paying off a student loan
I have capital losses of about $2,000
I don't know if all of the above matters but I just wanted to find out whether we can just file separately this year and if we do will that cost us in terms of getting a larger refund.
I wiggled my index finger to tell our secretary to click on print and my coworkers all started to crack up and say that is so inappropriate.
I kept saying i don't know what that means, and they dont believe me.

What kind of job can I find in Asia (China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea) if I don't know how to write but can speak?
I'm fairly fluent in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese but I cannot read or write.
What kind of jobs if any do you think I can find there?

The terrain park at my ski resort is fairly easy according to my friends. I can ski blue pretty well, but I am afraid of black diamonds.
The slopes of the terrain park is like a blue, nothing too steep.
I want to start learning to do jumps. WOuld I be able to? Or do you advise against it?

My wife makes 90 grand and I make 50 grand a year. We just got married on 12/13/2013. For income taxes?
Should we file jointly?
I assume we will get a bigger refund if we file jointly.
Are there any benefits at all for us to file separately?

Do I need to update my W4 or do I simply file as "MARRIED FILING JOINTLY" on my taxes when it's time to do the 2014 taxes in 2015.
I'm 28 years old and I saw a little blood (bright red) in the toilet so was a little freaked out. I've been constipated for a week or so and the other day a hard dry stool came out.
I saw a little blood in the toilet. I used to have hemorrhoids outside but now I think I may have one inside as well. I'm a little freaked out about getting a colonoscopy and was wondering if that is necessary to determine if I have hemorrhoids. I would get a colonscopy if the doctors find that i don't have hemorrhoids.
Usually when the doctor searches for hemorrhoids, what kind of test do they do?3 AnswersOther - Health7 years ago
I have a B.S. in accounting and I am only making 50k now. I want to go get my masters and make more money but?
I do not want to pursue a masters in accounting or get my CPA.
I want to go into another field.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is financing a way to go?

My fiance and I are engaged and our wedding is in 5/2014.
In the beginning we got along and clicked so well. This past month hasn't been as smooth.
We haven't gotten into fights but I feel she has changed.
For example, I don't drink at all and I told her this in the beginning. She has asked me to go to bars with her friends and I have even though I hate it. Now she wants me to go to a Halloween Party where there will be a lot of drinking. I told her I don't want to go but have a great time. I get the feeling she's upset at me for not going.
Another example is she wants me to go get my masters and has spoken to me several times about it. She makes more than me right now and I guess all of a sudden she has a problem with that. She says that when we have kids we won't be able to give them what they need. I think it's bull.
She makes 80k and I make 60k, although we live in New York (Brooklyn) I think that's more than enough to support 2 kids.
I guess my question is to those that are married, how did you know he/she was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with?
I'm 32 years old and she's 28 if that matters.

I have no problem getting it up, in fact I seem to always be horny. The problem is when I have sex I can only last 3-5 minutes. Many times if I want to last longer I have to use the start and stop technique which makes my girlfriend upset!

We live in NYC and have 50k saved up but no house yet. My fiancé has been very worried about money lately now that we are nearing the wedding date. I think we are fine on 100k a year with 2 kids.10 AnswersPersonal Finance7 years ago
