  • Concerned about my possible asexuality...?

Reasons I think I might be asexual:

    I don't like having sex

Thinking about myself (or anyone I know personally) having sex makes me nauseous

I don't masturbate because I never want to

I don't watch porn because I never want to

I have trouble seeing my own body as a sexual thing

    Reasons I think I'm not:

I'm fine with other people that I don't know having sex, and the thought of it

I think sex scenes in books, movies, or other fiction can be kind of fun

I'll very occasionally want sex (maybe once every two months)

Sex hurts (which makes me think the cause for the way I am is medical, not orientation-based)

So... what's wrong with me? Or not wrong, as the case may be.

Key details: I'm 17 years old, I've been in a relationship with the same guy for over two years. I am an atheist and comfortable with that. I used to enjoy sex until earlier this year.

  • Londoners: Do you see the riots as protests, or an excuse for crime?

I've heard both sides from the news-- what do those in the city think?

I suppose if you're not from London you're free to interject your opinion, too.

  • Is it ridiculous that I'm worried about being pregnant?

We had sex two weeks ago and used a condom (like we do every time). I am not on oral contraceptives.

Normally my period comes in exact 28 day cycles. It's two days late now (and still hasn't come).

I have been under intense stress for the past couple of weeks (much, much, much more intense than usual), and I have heard that can cause you to delay/miss periods.

Am I silly for being worried?

  • Easy Music Reading Question...?

Let's say that a key signature has one sharp in it, like the F in the first bar here.

    http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_cGCWTzuUONs/SwhZx4FBf-I/...

Is every F in that piece then sharped? I'm talking about Fs that would not be written on that line (Fs in a different octave). Thanks!

Side question if you can answer it: in a minor key, do you only play the raised 6th/7th notes on the way up?

  • How do I Print a Long Image Over Several Sheets of Paper?

I have a large but skinny image (it's an infographic) which I need to print out. In order for it to be legible, I need it to cover more than one sheet of paper. How can I make it print so that it comes out with chunks of the image on different sheets of paper which I can then tape together? I would like it with the image running down the middle of several sheets. I have an HP with Windows 7 and print to a Wireless Epson Artisan 710 Printer.

    Thanks!

  • TEENS: What are some really popular Young Adult Books now?

BESIDES Twilight. I'm doing a report on the messages in Young Adult fiction at the moment, and not being a YA reader myself, I'm not sure what's popular besides Twilight. Just name some titles, and suggest messages in the book if they are apparent to you.

Example: In Twilight, Edward, the perfect boyfriend, chooses abstinence until marriage.

  • Dessert ideas for 10 adults?

My mother is having an informal meeting tomorrow with 10 of the managers who work in her restaurants (Red Robin Gourmet Burgers & Spirits, aka the "Reeeeeeed Robin: Yummm!" company) and I have been commissioned to provide the desserts. I was thinking cupcakes that look like burgers, but I just made a giant burger cake for their company picnic a few weeks ago. Should I go more traditional with a some personal fruit tarts or something? Any thoughts?

  • Does anyone know of a Barbie with articulated joints?

I was at Rite Aid a while ago, and I saw a Barbie doll that had articulated joints on I believe her wrists, knees, ankles, and elbows. It wasn't a collectible; it was intended for children, and I know I should have bought it right there (I really liked it for some reason), but I didn't have money. Does anyone know the name of this particular model?

    Thanks

  • What gives you certainty of your religion (or lack thereof)?

THEISTS: Why are you certain that there is a God? Couldn't everything around us be explained by science and random patterns of evolution? There's a lot of science backing up our origins as a universe. What gives you your faith?

ATHEISTS: How do you know there really isn't a God? Even if you firmly believe in evolution, the big bang, etc., what came before? How do you know there wasn't a spark of the divine in the creation of the universe? A sentient force to set the ball rolling? What makes you so sure of your disbelief?

  • Why do you believe in God? (Not a cynical question)?

I want to believe again, but I can't convince myself. I know it's a very personal and spiritual revelation, but please tell me why YOU personally believe in God, and what your evidence is.

Atheists need not answer. I know your feelings on the matter.

  • What does a condom look like after use?

And by that, I mean, what does it look like when still on the penis after sex when used correctly? Is the semen spread all the way through, or is it supposed to stay in the reservoir tip?

    Thanks

  • AIM deleted buddy list?

Earlier today AIM was working fine but after returning from a day of not being on I found my entire buddy list erased. The program also will not let me add new buddies (I hit "add buddy" but nothing comes up). How do I fix this?

    Thanks

  • 16th birthday plans just died... ideas?

I was going to go to the science museum in Boston with my boyfriend, but he sprained his ankle and might not be able to do all the walking involved. We were supposed to do this tomorrow.

I live in Connecticut, putting me 2 hours from Boston and New York and 10 minutes from Hartford. I already checked our local theater for any musicals or plays I might want to see, but nothing. That these two things were plan A and plan B should give you an idea of the kind of stuff I like doing.

    Any ideas?

  • Will green bananas ruin banana bread?

I know that the riper bananas are, the sweeter they are, and so it's generally recommended to use overripe bananas for banana bread. However, all I have are green bananas. Will the cooking process make them sweet so the bread will be good, or should I just find something else to bake?

  • Tetraparesis (weakness in limbs) in 6 mo. old dog?

I have a 6 month old puppy. She was fine this morning, running around, doing all the normal puppy things, but a little while ago, she started to lose balance and would fall over whenever she stood. My mother took her to the vet and she's paralyzed. My mother was searching the term Tetraparesis, so that's the issue. Will the puppy be okay?

  • What Makes You Believe in God?

I'm an atheist and all I want is to believe. I want the reassurance and stability of believing in a higher power, but I can't convince myself and, without conviction, the whole thing means nothing. I believe that the world and its workings can be explained by science, and I can't fathom where God would exist if he did, because the universe doesn't end. What makes you believe?

NOTE: Atheists, this is not your territory. I know you're reading and dying to go on a rant about why God doesn't exist, but that's not the answer I'm looking for. I already don't believe, but I want to so badly.

  • I need some help...Gamers?

I'm looking to get my boyfriend a gift. For a bit of insight, I ought to tell you that I'm also getting him a DVD of Inglorious Basterds, which he loves. He loves games like MW2, Borderlands, and oldschool emulators on his PC. He also loves metal music. What would you be looking for from a girl you've been with for 8 1/2 months? He doesn't want me buying XBox games because he doesn't want me spending a lot of money.
