Her partner is a male about 5 inches in size and 6-months her junior. At times he would mount her and start humping......... but I am not sure if he has ever gotten close to her female opening. Any explanation of such a behavior

This diet has made them grow quite big, 'coz a friend of mine has his RES almost same time frame but feeding them normal turtle food in the form of pellets and his RES have not grown as big. They are almost half the size of my RES. I want to feed Green veggies (Iceberg Lettuce) to my turtles, butthey wont even look at them. I even tried by not feeding them for two days any thing else except the greens, but still to no avail............They would start swimming violently and try to bite my fingers when I approach them but would not even look towards the green. What should I do to make them eat varied types of food, including greens, 'coz by the rate they are growing, they would out size their Tank very soon...........

Although there is no thermometer but the environment seems quite cozy. I have one problem which is worrying me. Both the RES & YBS remain underwater all the time and would never come out to bask. They would just poke their nose out of the water and sit whole day and night. They do eat but only dried turtle food pellets. Tried feeding live fish and green veggies, but they wouldn't care. Is it normal behaviour? Is there anything wrong with them? What should I do in case there is something wrong?
