I'm just in the mood to get goosebumps on my skin from a song. Some that I've been listening to for that sort of feeling:
The Fray - How to Save a Life (very obvious choice, I know)
Enter Shikari - Constellations
Enter Shikari - Dear Future Historians...
blink-182 - Adam's Song
Panic! at the Disco - The End of All Things
Panic! at the Disco - Far Too Young to Die
Michael Jackson - Earth Song
Michael Jackson - Stranger in Moscow
Michael Jackson - Gone Too Soon
Breaking Benjamin - Anthem of the Angels
Breaking Benjamin - Give Me a Sign
Three Days Grace - One-X
Linkin Park - Valentine's Day
Linkin Park - The Little Things Give You Away
Gary Allan - Watching Airplanes
The Cure - A Thousand Hours
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Brendan's Death Song
All recommendations are appreciated! While the above are mainly rock, I do listen to a lot of genres, so please recommend lots of different things.2 AnswersOther - Music5 years ago
A friend got me a guitar for $50 at an auction. However, this guitar doesn't have any manufacturer indications, and it looks like a knock-off Strat with a different neck. It's so cheap and obscure that Googling it turns up nothing. It's manufactured by a beer company I guess, as it's like a promo item.
The guitar has awful intonation and playing it without plugging it in it sounds extremely metallic. Question is, can I make it sound any better? Or should I just stick my main guitar and let this one be?5 AnswersPerforming Arts6 years ago
The bridge ends with the lyrics:
"You're not the only one
Not the only one"

I'm a pianist of nine years and a guitarist/bassist of four. Recently I've become interested in synthesizers and the like. I know about things such as sustain, reverb, tremolo, etc from my guitar and keyboard, but some of the things I've come across while just using synthesizer software is beyond me.
Vocoder, attack, decay, bandpass filters, all of that. It's completely lost on me. Ignore the fact that I know what reverb and whatnot are pretty much, because I have no idea what the "dampness" of reverb even is.3 AnswersPerforming Arts6 years ago
I'm 118 pounds and I do high school wrestling. I'm not extremely weak, but at the same time I'm not that strong. My max is 130 pounds for bench press, 105 for power clean, and 210 for back squat. Any suggestions for improvement there are appreciated.
I also seem to lack the power that other wrestlers do, and I have no idea what to attribute that to. It's as if I don't have half the force behind my shots as other people.
Please don't suggest steroids lmao.1 AnswerDiet & Fitness6 years ago
I do have a Gameboy of my own, so screw off if you intend to answer with that. Anyway, I've set up a server and connected on two VBA-link emulators, and have sa1 and sa2 file types. But whenever I get to Join Group and Become Leader, the emulator that selects Join Group goes back to the title screen. What am I to do?1 AnswerVideo & Online Games7 years ago
Sounds stupid, yeah, but my laptop has a second battery in place of a CD drive. No way to install it. Is it possible that I can legally download a game I already have to install it, or another way to install without the disc, maybe by copying files or something.1 AnswerVideo & Online Games8 years ago

I'm in a band and we're covering the song "Blackout" by Linkin Park. We have everything down from the intro to outro and the remix bridge for our DJ, but there's a timpani. I'm doing that percussion for the song (in addition to switching to a guitar for the bridge and outro), and I don't know where I can find a timpani. Is there any drum in a set that I could rig to make sound the least bit like a high-pitched timpani?
