I recently noticed a very painful (she squeals if I touch it) lump on my cats chest. It has come about very quickly, one day she was clear, the next she had it. It came up the day after she'd had a vaccination, but the lump is not at the vaccination site. She is 6 years old and otherwise very healthy. Her breathing is not altered, she is not lethargic (although she is drinking more?) she is also very skittish because of it - is desperate to be left alone and is very scared we are going to touch it, so it must be very painful for her.
Would be very grateful for any insight as to what this may be. (Want to avoid the vets unless it persists as she is extremely scared of going)5 AnswersCats9 years ago
She had a full black nose when she was a kitten. She is now 6 and her nose is a dark pink.
It is almost as if the black colour just rubbed away! In fact her nose is still lined with black. She is a tabby cat, and has very black markings anyway. But why would her nose change like this?1 AnswerCats9 years ago
Plato presented the Euthyphro dilemma:
Is something good because God commands it, or does God command it because it is good?
There is no way round that, it is either the first statement or the second. Both reduce God's power or goodness.
If it is good ONLY because God commands it, then there is room for any number of horrific incidents to happen. And do not say that God would never command them, because the bible itself shows proof that he would. What about commanding all the Jews to kill the Canaanites?
And if God commands it because it is good, then he surely has no power? He himself is being led by rules devised outside of himself? Then how can he be the all mighty God? He is the supposed creator, well then how did these so called intrinsic goods come about?
Also, when looking at God as creator, he apparently created EVERYTHING. But what about the bad design in the world (like natural selection - where animals have to kill to survive, and natural disasters like earthquakes that kill millions)?
Why would God create in such a way? What would inspire him to design something so badly, something that has to kill to survive?
This would mean that either God has a sadistic nature, and chooses to create evil. Or it is beyond his power to prevent evil.
Either way, he is either not all loving, or not all powerful.
How then, is he God?16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years ago
My cat is really timid, and she has been from the first day we got her. She's 6 now, and still barely lets people touch her or hold her, except me. I've never been the most forward with her, and I'm not the one that feeds her, so why should she suddenly feel so comfortable around me?
I'm the only one she will sit with and the only one whose call she responds to! Is this just normal behavior for cats?
We have another cat by the way, who is the softest thing ever. He lets absolutely anything happen to him, he doesn't have a care in the world. Both have been brought up the same and they are brother and sister. (it is the girl who is timid.)6 AnswersCats9 years ago
I have quite a few piercings (10), but none of them are on my face, they're all in my ears, and two are on my belly button. Does this turn people off?
Nobody would ever guess I have them though because I don't look like the type (not to be stereotypical), I'm really girly. Would this also affect it?3 AnswersOther - Skin & Body9 years ago

I have two cats, one of which is very loving and gentle but timid with strangers, and I want to find a local, understanding cattery that comes recommended rather than rely on random selection. I have been trying to contact Queniborough Cattery by phone & e.mail for a few days, but can't get a response and need to get something booked asap for our summer holiday. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.1 AnswerOther - United Kingdom9 years ago
Going to the Cape Verde islands this summer and have been informed they only have 7 hours of sunshine on the average day in July. Just wondering if anyone has been and has any more information about this?
Also about the temperature as it seems colder than what I would have imagined...2 AnswersOther - Africa & Middle East9 years ago
So I have an Immense fear of Zombies, not of being one but of everyone else being one and then I would be alone. Last night I had one of my regular Zombie nightmares which included my friends and family being Zombies.
Except this one got really gruesome.
I had a bluntish knife that I used to cut through one of my best friends neck. Then their head just wouldn't come off and I just had to tug, that seemed to be at some kind of gathering because people cheered when I killed him.
Then I tried to gauge my brothers eyes out with a pair of nail scissors but his eyes were so tough and I just couldn't get through them, that was in my house.
I also used some kind of fork to pull some more eyes out although I can't remember who they belonged to, I do remember we were in a graveyard though.
I didn't even bother to tell people this dream because it sounds so disgusting and frankly, it sounds made up.
No word of a lie, all of that happened in my dream last night. Why the hell would I dream something like this? I've never had a dream like this before... it was really disturbing and it really freaked me out...3 AnswersDream Interpretation10 years ago
In one episode, Alexa Chung met a designer (I'm pretty sure it was the woman behind Missoni) and she tried on a dress. I'm looking for the episode it was in as I loved the dress and can't find it anywhere.
Supposedly, this episode is series 1 episode 4, but I've watched it and it isn't there, she meets rugby players instead? HELP!1 AnswerReality Television10 years ago
Can anyone give me an idea as to why some of the foliage on my young Thuja Occidentalis Brabant shrubs are turning a yellowy-brown colour please? The trees themselves appear to be thriving and are growing well. Thanks!2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade ago
My cat brought in a baby pigeon about 5 hours ago. It is still alive but breathing very fast. Help!?
My cat brought in a baby pigeon about 5 hours ago. It is still alive but breathing very fast. I'm not sure how old it is but it hardly has any feathers yet and is about as big as the palm of my hand. I have it in a little box with shredded paper but I'm not sure what to do with it now! I have tried giving it some water-soaked bread but I son't know it it is even capable of eating / drinking like this. Any ideas please? Thank you.12 AnswersBirds1 decade ago
